Looks like most of the recovery software needs the affected RN4 to be rooted for effective recovery of the deleted photos in the Gallery. Pls advise me b4 I proceed with this:
1. Unlocking the RN4 takes how many days and need to request thru Mi account?
2. What is the function of "Mi Unlock Status" in Developer Option?
3. Is Kingroot safe n effective in rooting RN4? According to a youtube video it is simple to use.
4. I manage to list the content of the RN4 using Windows Explorer but when using Recuva it doesnt detect it as a drive but I can transfer the RN4's content to the PC. The RN4 is in USB debugging mode but not rooted yet.

Photos were deleted accidentally from the gallery of Redmi Note 4 phone 2 weeks ago. Havent been using the phone since cos looking for solution.

Photo quality getting worse after the new update.

My Redmi Note 5 still working great after 8 months.

Though with just 3gb ram, but still blazing fast like first day.

However, just got Mate 20 today.

worse of all xiaomi ignoring the bugs, i suspect they purposely release bad firmware to make the phone sluggish, slow and buggy so they can sell new phones , most casual user will think their phone got issue and buy new one, typical china tactic, since they love to copy everything Apple, not surprise of on purpose slowdown/buggy firmware. lesson here is not to update next time , once on a stable rom, which might never arrives.

for time being, for bugs like google map crash and camera lag , sluggish video etc.. i found a temp solution, culprit for me is fullscreen mode.

by using virtual keys mode back, camera is faster and no lag, and for google maps as well, some also suggest start navigate let it run then only activate gps , not before.

good luck this v10 rom has been a pain in the ass since launch. regret updating it v9 was so stable and smooth


ps: another weird bug i discover is when u use video recording at 1080p 30fps the camera is crop/zoom in like 720p mode, while on 1080p 60fps its not, but 1080p 60fps expose got bug, point to dark area it darkens it , point to bright area it brighten it, should be other way around.

Those having gps issue, can try this fix. Seems to work for me, but not sure if it'll be consistent. Gonna give it a try anyway.

Recently im encounter lag on my rn5...from unlock, navigate and open apps...mine is 32gb/3gb version..quite weird as im not using for game..just for fb, web, whasapp
