i know it's wrong to ask this kind of question here, but i'm really in dilemma now. Im thinking to get new phone but undecided which one to choose: 1. RN5 (4GB) -best price vs performance phone -lowest camera quality compared to below option -build quality, but acceptable since this is mid 1k phone -disappointed because no 6GB version after waited for long -using well known Snapdragon SOC
2. Mate 10 Pro (6GB) -reduced price, can get brand new for rm2.6k -proven battery life -Gen 1 AI with possibility of getting update/port from P20 Gen 2 AI
3. P20 Pro (6GB) -latest hype in the market, but battery life is slightly shorter compared to M10P -best camera phone in the world at the moment -AI assisted image for night mode, no need tripod
I'm very well versed with MIUI and EMUI so user experience will be not that much issue. I know the price is huge difference, I dont mind investing but at the same time if i can save some bucks why not.
my last xiaomi phone was mi3 and RN3, used OP3T for 3 weeks then i switched to honor 6x. i'm a retired flasholic.

Depends on what is important to you. Camera? Performance? Price? Build-quality? UI?
This is my preference rank (from most to least important): 1. Battery life 2. Price (since its a huge gap) 3. Camera 4. Build quality 5. Performance (i believed for real world usage the difference is barely noticeable) 6. UI
Anyone know the function of collapse after touch in notification shade?
I think when you enabled this setting, once you click something in the quick settings, that notification shade will auto disappear. So you saved 1 click.
TQ... This is enough for me... no need other cast method...
Can you play 360 degree YouTube vix and at the same time cast to your Google Home TV... Will the TV show 360 degree vix too like in YouTube app...? Example below:
Yes I can 😀
I did some mistake in the 1st attempt, opened youtube and clicked the cast to chromecast, of course nothing happened when i moved the phone in 360 video.
2nd attempt, i mirrored my screen using built in cast (i believed it is miracast) and then opened YouTube 360 video on my phone, i managed to reproduce it
Thanks for your feedback on RN5 GPS performance while using Umobile. So the culprit is really Umobile not compatible with RN5 for stable GPS locking then. Btw, Hotlink Flex postpaid looks very competitive as a telco plan too.
not only umobile+xiaomi combo, it happened to umobile+oneplus too
read in other forums they claim miui have many unnecesary ads, bloatware etc. which is affecting the phone performance
can we disable all this on the note 5?
i'm not sure whether to get the note 5 or the Mi A2
Not that bad or bloated. Im coming from stock vanilla android and for me MIUI is still acceptable for me. Their extra software also useful, like remote control, cleaner, screen recorder, QR scanner, compass.
