QUOTE(Kotarou @ May 3 2018, 12:09 PM) To clarify - It's the same picture, from Twitter, not taken with 2 different cameras. What calibration tools u use?Yes, everything is less vibrant, including the UI. Using the RN3 for 2 years+ spoiled me to that saturation level. No, I am not comparing camera quality. Obviously the RN5's camera is superior to RN3. Yes, color calibration tools should be able to make the screen more vibrant. |

QUOTE(Oldskolboyz @ May 3 2018, 12:13 PM) I think you not hold phone at the right position.. My Mi5 also like this and to get the real color I need to adjust position to let more light enter before snap.. For the last time, I am not comparing RN3 and RN5 camera quality. Edited original post for clarity. |

9.5.6.0(OEIMIFA), is it normal that for this rom, the screen brightness will auto switch to most dim after lock screen? I didn't switch on battery saver. |

Same here. Screen is fine to me.
Try adjusting to warm if you don't want red, green, yellow to be light colour. If only Xiaomi provide more options for display calibration then it would be good for you. *Also change to high contrast instead of auto. ok it's either adjusting to warm or high contrast, can't have both. High contrast makes everything more vibrant try it. And if that's not enough, wait for Xiaomi to add saturation controls This post has been edited by xperiaVuser: May 3 2018, 05:09 PM |

Just played with this phone today. Yes screen is washed out. But then not surprising la. Cheap phone with above average specs, sure cut corners here and there la.
Should be a lower quality screen |

Bought the note 5 today, My set. Unfortunately I can confirm the washed out screen colors. Hope I'll get used to it.

From the tons of reviews, including those reviewers who are famous and sure it is not paid reviews, they all said the Redmi Note 5 screens are good for it's price. In fact Xiaomi's screen are usually very good.
So for you guys who says the screen have issues, either the batch you bought have some color adjustment issue or you guys are too sensitive with colors. Expecting flagship quality screens? Or OLED? |
