Looks like they put alot of effort on the cams. Tagline camera beast should mean something right?

I wonder if people will still complain sucky Xiaomi camera?

Based on review made by GSMArena on camera F2.2 Redmi 5+ aka Redmi Note 5  still suck. Redmi Note 5 Pro using same camera  as Redmi 5+ so...

I watched the live stream... they say it has new algorithm and ai, plus the depth of field effect macam quite impressive... we shall see and wait for proper reviews haha

Nah, this camera setup still sucks, no OIS and the apertures are not less than f/2.0. But the camera setup on the Mi 6 and Mi Note 3 have great quality.

ok biggrin.gif I guess front cam will beat them both, 20mp and imx376 plus led flash, so good for selfie lovers

My first Mi4i getting hot easily , once the processor is over heating , phone speed and performing getting weaker and slower, less than a month only.
This is the most shorten life for my history with Mi4i 16GB white color body.

Never heard of any device with sd615 that doesn't suffer from overheating.

same display panel as 5+, non sony sensor.

Interesting, the samsung sensor spec is still better than the sony; bigger sensor size + dual PD focus. Let's wait for proper reviews.

I believe if they will ever use Sony sensor in it, it will be Sony IMX 362 which has exactly the same specs as the Samsung S5K2L7.

Definitely not the IMX 486 as in RN5pro india version. Xiaomi is known to use different sensor in different batch, but they always use ones with same specs.

Edited: In Meizu m6 Note specs, it says "camera sensor could be either Sony IMX362 or Samsung 2L7". So i believe my theory is true lol

We'll see haha

That SOT with 2 days usage is pretty good, same power efficiency as sd625 but more powerful.

According to this report, is the RN5 with 13MP front camera, so is the China version instead of India version with 20MP.

Actually hoping for the India version to come. What you all think which version is better or you all hope for which version?
*
any reason why you prefer the indian version?

For front cam, the imx376 got a slightly bigger sensor. Most likely will perform better than the OV with air, but close.

For rear cam, China variant wins hands down

bigger sensor is alwayz better then bigger mp.

big sensor mean better low light iq and faster shutter.

yup.

I read somewhere IMX363 was used for the rear cam as well, specs equivalent to the samsung sensor.
