QUOTE(mrtiny @ Sep 14 2018, 07:38 PM) You need to jump bro. Finance in the early years, every one or two years...jump jump jump!!!But make sure you have some competencies lah and understand the bigger picture of what you're doing (example, understand your industry be it commercial banking, investment banking, asset management, insurance etc). I also start at a "standard" RM2.8k when I was aged 23. Then within a year later I got a job that paid >30% higher. But I really do have a passion for what I do and am able to see things on a bigger picture. So that definitely helped in getting something better for myself. If I waited a few months I probably could get a near 50% jump but the company I joined is so amazing and I'm sure whatever I learn here will be of great help. |

QUOTE(louzie @ Sep 18 2018, 03:15 PM) I know fresh graduates that earn RM 9,000 as an employee (did not inherit a business/ not well connected aka crony/ working at a company, just went into the right sector). And when you say high, keep in mind your perspective and social circle. There's no limit to your earning potential, only how you can make yourself valuable to a company. EDIT: They are working locally in Malaysia and being paid in Ringgit, not converting from other currencies to MYR This post has been edited by AOL24: Sep 18 2018, 04:05 PM |

QUOTE(louzie @ Sep 18 2018, 03:15 PM) Usually the lower earning will not post their salary. Also, there are some who inflated their figure. After all, this is forum not LHDN declaration. That all said, they are some genuine who earn that high but those are usually high flyer even when they are in school (exclude sales industry). |
