QUOTE(D_s_X @ Aug 14 2009, 02:18 AM) I guess lot's of people are having problems with the well, let me put it... unclear way of the PMS route. I included =( based on the current stats they are still in demand for doctors. and apparently i've read an article that they still need doctors well in 2015. so it depends on when you start, or wether they are filling up quickly by doctors from india, nz or even the uk. so things can change even within a year. For example, if we get paired to an Australian university, are the certificates recognized automatically there? Are you able to do your housemanship there then later on practice there? so far what i've heard those who were final year students last year, i've heard of them securing a job there. and yes your degree is the same as if you started year 1 there. UK is out of the question for now, until they change their immigration laws and eu nonsense. US, if you have time and the determination during your 2nd year at IMU to own up to the USMLE! |

QUOTE(OJS @ Aug 19 2009, 09:01 PM) hmm...because PMC allows me to apply for the september intake to RCSI but IMU has to wait till Feb 2010.....zzzz you cannot 'decide' where you twin to, for imu-pms.......for IMU i decide to twin with NUIG....both from ireland is all about the timing n in term of teaching i think both uni have their pros n cons... just another Qeustion..will i be able to carry out my housemanship in Aus if i am from IMU or PMC matching takes place at the 5th semester, and you will only know where you are matched to just before the eos5........although if you put irish pms, you have a very good chance of getting it, as they are not popular........... pmc irish degrees are NOT recognised in australia, or uk for that matter........there is a possibility of uk graduates working in oz based on the 'competent authority' pathway after completion of the 2 years fy in uk, this is an ah-hoc arrangement, and likely will be scraped in a few years when oz doctor shortage is over............ |

QUOTE(chika138 @ Aug 20 2009, 05:00 AM) with almost the same cost *nodd head 1000 times* agreed.IMU PMS is apparently better than PMC in many aspects just don care too much bout the waiting time going to PMC IMO is a waste of money. Added on August 20, 2009, 10:27 am QUOTE(OJS @ Aug 20 2009, 02:01 AM) PMC = no. Unless u take amc examination, pass it, apply for a job, and they get u in.IMU-AUS shouldnt be a prob if u start on feb 2010, and dont be too choosy i think lol This post has been edited by cygoh9: Aug 20 2009, 10:27 AM |

Hi guys XD, I'm back! I'm currently sharing a room wit a fren (kinda cramped tho, these fr*ggin mini-sized rooms) And people, if you wana rent a room 1. Block B is the best!! Just opposite IMU~! 2. B1--> well, if ur the kind of person that doesnt have much nite-life, then sure... cuz the hallway is dark at nite ... who knows what might happen O_O 3. A & C are fine in a way... just remember its better if u move in a pack around all these areas, cuz from what i heard, robberies are quite common Thats all i know 4 now QUOTE(chika138 @ Aug 20 2009, 11:42 PM) accomodation (rent+electric+water+internet+blah2) rm300-500 averagely good estimate brotha can be more than rm500 then eat rm400-500 or more depends on what's ur food rm200 on mischellaneous that means at least near rm1000 if u're renting a room in bkt jalil |

Then maybe 1 physiology question. EMQ is the easiest of all so please don't screw up OSPE ar just try finish it on time QUOTE(Benji` @ Aug 21 2009, 08:48 AM) Hi guys XD, I'm back! A is a big no no. it seems near if u look from vista B or IMU. But actually the entrance is at the another far end.I'm currently sharing a room wit a fren (kinda cramped tho, these fr*ggin mini-sized rooms) And people, if you wana rent a room 1. C is when you are searching for rooms in better condition with better (relatively cheaper than B) prices.
