the requirement for ielts is mandatory, and clearly stated in their website.....an overall band 6.5 required, and 7.0 from next year........

but as typical for imu, they want your money first.....then realised they have offered a place to someone without the full requirements......that used to happen a lot, they used to allow people to sit and achieve the required band while in the course.......the requirement is mainly for the pms stream, where the pms do INSIST on minimum band 6.5 or 7.........

muet is of no use........but is a requirement of the LAN for msians only.........nobody really look at muet.........
*
IELTS wasnt compulsory during my time (M206). Most of my friends got accepted with MUET and no IELTS, and most of them are of pms stream.

for those in the pms stream, you MUST have ielts, at least band 6.5 before you can be matched......it is a clear requirement of the pms.........

but imu will accept you before you have the ielts, as long as you get it before matching......

however, it appears that they now want ielts on entry.......and the pms now wants ielts 7.........

Most of my friends are matched to pms without IELTS, in my batch it was "stupid to take IELTS", "waste money". I took mine coz i missed the MUET registration date. I think they changed it, i'm deadly sure that MUET was the requirement some time ago, not IELTS. I had to take MUET during sem 3, but apparently those who din take MUET are safe too, they're matched safely.

no vista komanwel signed contract with time
and why go for a worse ISP?
netlynx is far better than streamyx
constantly FULL 2mbps (mine never dropped below 1.5mbps) for rm99 a month only
don't trust other ISPs, especially those wireless ones

edited: for those who are not really sure what 2Mbps means, it simply means when u download u see about 250kb/s (1kilobyte=8kilobits) download speed
and mine seldom drops under 200kb/s unless limited by the download sources servers' speed

I guess lot's of people are having problems with the well, let me put it... unclear way of the PMS route. I included =(

For example, if we get paired to an Australian university, are the certificates recognized automatically there? Are you able to do your housemanship there then later on practice there?

Vista B if master bedroom rm280 is ok
but urs plus water and electric bills huh
what's the exact rent of the room?
IMO netlynx is even better than internet in PMS later in the sense that they don't have download limit cap (unless u're going USA and canada)
and so far i've no complaint over the speed
download youtube streaming (i stream good quality football matches every weekend)
but if ur housemates are also heavy downloaders and set mutual agreement and limit every1's download speed

i'm no expert in this topic
but what i can say is no one (even the experts here) can be 100% sure of what will be the policies later when u graduate
it's subject to change over the time
especially if u haven't even stepped into a med school, which means it takes at least another 5-6 years before u can work
