Really? Thanks for the information.
Is it possible to provide the source of the info?
That would be much appreciated.

it is not, for imu now.......cut offs are about 94-95......

ironically, it is easier to get in with a levels.....just abb.....which is about the equivalent of about high 80's.......

ielts is compulsory for imu.......

if you are in the pms streams, when you match over, most of the partner unis will want your ielts anyway.....they will accept 'expired' ielts (ie longer than 2 years old) if you had a very high band like 8.5 or 9.0..........otherwise you may need to sit a second round......and i think going forward, in the new british student visa rules, you will also need ielts for the visa application.....

i think they found a loophole and many students heading over to uk dont need ielts now. they have given an exemption.

Is the dentistry course in IMU accredited in HongKong or Australia? I might want to migrate to those places in the future

sorry to tell that it is not recognized by elsewhere other than Malaysia itself unless you're doing their twinning program. at the end, you will get the certificate from the oversea universty that you've transfer.

So, for someone who doing 5 years locally, is not worth it since it's expensive compared to its competitor. But if you're doing twinning, IMU is the best uni that you can choose from biggrin.gif

By the way, are you trying to apply for next year intake ? the competition is fierce i would say.. nod.gif

Thought you guys might be interested to know that the Malaysian government is planning to sue JPA scholars staying overseas after their course, ESPECIALLY medical students...I think this is the first time the government has ever acknowledged the non-return of most JPA scholars. This after all the millions of dollars spent...what a great country

Any JPA-sponsored IMU-PMS students out there planning to flee after graduation, better think twice now...

out of the top 10% of students, who will mostly get their top choices......the rest will be based on a 'lucky draw'......they have to spread the students around.....some good students will need to be matched to unpopular pms......and the popular pms will also have to accept one or two bottom students..........
