I think the thought of "not-so-good PMS" should seriously be scrapped off. All PMSes are good.

1. your results should have the cohort average mark or grade, and the standard deviation, so it is quite easy to roughly estimate where you are in your cohort........like i said, if you are not top 10%, it doesn't matter where you are, it WILL be the luck of the draw (or more precisely, the luck of the even distribution exercise....)

2. the worst thing to do is set your mind on any particular pms......better way is decide on country.........and with an open mind to accept any pms they match you to.....what's so special about glasgow anyway.....?

It's a very good school!
Remember to just rank it as 1st choice. =)
B- isn't that bad mar.
But, study hard ya.
Coz, the people whom I know that got glasgow,
mostly are A students....

Out of 12x PMS students for my batch, 40 got their 1st choice.
I personally know some C students getting their top 3 choices.
Popularity of the school + your performace + a bit of luck will determine where you will go.
Good luck.

that is unusual numbers of people getting their 1st choice.....it would suggest the preferences are spread out, and not concentrated on a few med schools........in some batches, because of bunching around a few pms, the knock down effect is so marked, many got their >5th choices......even above average students........

woot then if i believe i stand no chance of going to there d T.T....
but i think the result is largely based on how you put your choice, if you're bottom student and put all those popular pms as your first 5 choices then im sure you will get 6th and 7th choice

Just wonder, im taking Nutrition & Dietetics in july
and i have the chance to choose whether i wan to credit transfer to University of Newcastle, aus or university of otago, nz
the problem is, i cant decide now..
the office lady said i couldnt change it once i decided to finish all course at IMU and pay the respective tuition fee.
my question is, is there any exception? i mean senior who actually did credit transfer, although they didnt put the twinning program as the first choice?
thanks.

Ahem... You should know it well if you can afford to do the credit transfer program or not mar, right?
If I were you, I would put my choice for credit transfer program first.
I think IMU will never say NO to your money if you were to switch to the local program, as they are eyeing only for your money. =)

Oh? New batch?
I think IMU has changed its curriculum which they will squeeze all semester 1 and 2 stuffs together for the new upcoming batch.
So, for your semester 1, you will be studying all foundation stuffs like
--> Biochemistry, anatomy, physiology, general pathology, immunology, parasitology, microbiology, pharmacology, community medicine, behavioral sciences....
Starting semester 2 will be system based, like cardiovascular system and respiratory system.

the same applies to medicine.....it is quite easy to 'downgrade' from pms to local stream..... smile.gif

Err.... I don't think it's suitable to use "downgrade" la....
It would be nicer if you have used "switch" instead coz it sounds a bit degrading....

there is a reason why the word was used in parenthesis......subtleties of the english language, which is often lost on msians.......
