QUOTE(robindebean @ Jun 11 2018, 07:12 PM) bought a new phone from apple, hardware problem, phone no charging and cant turn on. this phone is less than a month. is there a one to one exchange or i still need to send it to apple SC and claim for warranty? Thanks bought from Apple Store Online? There’s no one-to-one exchange. Apple will replaced with a refurbished phone and your phone will be repair/refurbish and give to someone else who send in their phone for repair. QUOTE(andrewtho @ Jun 11 2018, 08:10 PM) Thanks for sharing, wonder if the iPhone Gen 1 casing is similarly thick as the iMac one. If it is then imma skip, phone is heavy enough. I assume it is, all the spigen cases i've owned were thick Maybe you can google, there are quite a few reviews for these cases.

Thought they will change a new phone. Haha

They clarify it's replacement unit which is new unit instead of refurbished unit

Actually getting a refurbished device is better IMHO
because refurbish device, they had to check then replace problematic parts and have another checking.

Does charging with 3rd party cable affect the battery? My friend bought a cable from Ninja(?) and it charges faster than my original cable. Less than 15 bucks!

I'm not familiar with Ninja but my brother's iPhone battery bloated after using a cable from China. Use at your own risk.

I'd try to use the ori one as much as possible, but that said I do know of a friend using a third party one for years and his 6 Plus is still going good.

For the fast charging using the 29W USB-C power adapter, I've got to buy the usb type c to lightning cable right? Or which one is the one compatible with the iPhone? I want to get that one cause the normal one charges quite slow for me.

I went to have a look, a lot of people. Apparently the cables looks okay and the price is super cheap. Like you could get 5/6 cables from there by buying one original from Machines. I bought one, going to use to charge my old 6, see how it goes
