QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Feb 6 2018, 07:04 PM) Current battery stats with 42% remaining. Is this good or bad?To answer your question, for my usage, I find the standby drain of the 7 Plus/8 Plus much better than the X, but in terms of energy consumption during usage, they are all pretty similar. This is of course only after two full days of using the X, ha ha. I’ll give more feedback after a couple of weeks. Edit: Wished they had an option for me to include or exclude the notch during a screenshot, hahaha... This post has been edited by attw: Feb 6 2018, 08:21 PM |

QUOTE(techno_guy @ Feb 7 2018, 07:16 AM) Hi all, just bought my iPhone x 256gb on last Thursday and phone already not working on the second day ! Went to QCD Times Square to check and they said hardware prob and asked me to send my phone to repair and yesterday they called me up for phone collection , I did asked bout what caused my phone not working and they said don't know but will provide me with a new set , but the so called new set is not sealed in box , it's just phone without cover and how can I assure that's a new phone? Furthermore what will happen with my warranty since the imei is different now ? They didn't provide and details / copy / receipt saying I replaced my faulty phone with this so called new phone! Please everyone do advise what should I do ? I find it strange that they can't say exactly what's wrong with the phone. Normally they should be able to provide a diagnostic report on what's wrong with it. I recently visited another authorized Apple Service Center and they provided me with a report and asking for my instructions whether it's a go/no go to repair my mother-in-law's iPhone 5S (coz the damage was not covered by the warranty). That said, replacing a damaged phone with a refurbished one is pretty normal practice for Apple but I think it's understandable why it might be frustrating given how new your phone is and also how much it costs! By the way, mind sharing where did you buy the phone from? |

QUOTE(doomx @ Feb 7 2018, 09:00 AM) anybody bought this? I was considering as well but then the PA-Y10's retail price is RM169 (and if you have some discount codes you can get it cheaper from other platforms) and the ori Apple USB C to Lightning cable retails at RM119 so it's about RM288, but if you mention the discount code brings it down to 260, then it's about a 10.8% savings or so. Not enticing enough for me, heh heh.https://www.aukey.life/products/pa-y10-turb...lightning-cable can apply discount code brings it down to RM260. Kinda worth it if compare with what apple has. Need around 400? Ya, Apple's adapter is expensive. I wouldn't go for that either |

QUOTE(dinozilla @ Feb 7 2018, 03:47 PM) no way to reject... If it were me I would demand to know why.basically Apple give new or equal to new (refurbished) at their business reason. its so in AS, more so for reseller but don need worry much as refurbished set also pass same QA the reseller should have the report, just they may not disclose all... QUOTE(art6969 @ Feb 7 2018, 05:07 PM) MY set won’t be that cheap. 4888 during Lazada’s CNY Sale is the cheapest I’ve seen thus far. |

QUOTE(meltan @ Feb 8 2018, 10:08 PM) I’ve noticed from my phone that every 10% of battery life equates to an hour of usage. So ideally, that would mean around 9-10 hours of usage per day. But that’s according to my kind of usage. Well, I'm quite a light user. Main usage would be WhatsApp and Safari. I've not really had a late night out since using this phone so it remains to be seen whether or not the phone will give me enough juice if I continue using it till late in the night but I think it shouldn't be a problem.Your usage is looking good imo. Charging is super slow though. Am using an older 10W iPad charger at the moment and it takes close to two hours from 30 - 40% to full. If slower charging helps preserve the battery health then I'm OK with it. Ha ha... |

QUOTE(skycrew @ Feb 9 2018, 11:38 AM) I think any phone use Waze sure koyak unless battery over 4,000mAh QUOTE(meltan @ Feb 9 2018, 11:59 AM) I guess two hours is quite normal. I usually charge overnight, so the duration doesn’t really bother me. Not planning on getting any fast/wireless chargers? My usual practice is to charge till full and unplug before I go to bed, used to charge it overnight but heard it might adversely affect the battery health in the long term. No plans for fast chargers at the moment, the idea is to wait and see how expensive AirPower will be first This post has been edited by attw: Feb 9 2018, 01:00 PM |

QUOTE(krishtiano86 @ Feb 9 2018, 12:45 PM) Damn, then google maps is much better, recently was on a long drive. 2.5hours, batt was 65% and ended with 42%. But you’re on a 8+ and not X right bro? This upcoming CNY holidays I’m gonna try an experiment to charge my wife’s 8+ and my X to 100% full, unplug at the same time and then see which one discharges faster during usage |
