1) 2.4k per month for a 410k house with 30yrs loan? 2,400 * 12 * 30 = 864,000...the interest itself is already higher than the house.    sweat.gif
2) astro is a luxury, not a must. i spend my entire life without astro, my pc and streamyx is enough
3) 500 - 800 just for bills? 100 electricity and water, 100 for streamyx, 100 for phone..u still got at least 200 before reach 500.

the more u earn, the more u spend. if u do not plan your financial properly, even 10k wont be enough for u

Okay 100 for electricity and water is unbelievable. Are you renting?

My household is already paying 500 just for power. At most, one can try to reduce to 300.

Upgrading to newer, modern air cond units save alot of power compared to those old 80s clunkers.

All my air conditioning is less than 5 years old. We only use 3 during the night. I don't on my pc 24/7.

During the day, only 2 person is at home. If it helps, I also have 3 phase wiring. Unless I sleep without air con in Malaysia, and turn off the fridge and live in the dark at night, I don't see how. I'm in a terrace house. And my water heater is depending on the sun for power.

My water bill is cheap though. It's only about 50.

2.4k is inclusive of the house insurance, their so called MRTA but different kind, if u take fixed rate house loan from insurance company you will understand, besides its my mistake, I was naive when I purchased the house, didnt do much research there

Astro package is 110 bucks now, and I don't even watch it, like I said, its not for me, its for my family members, and how can you say no to them.. (they think you earn a lot, so they can demand for it)

electricity bills rm 100? have u seen a standard house electricity bill yet? a family of 5 will easily cost you 200, even if u control your usage, once again, I agree that its luxury here, cause 4 Rooms with 4 airconds running for at least 8 hours every night, could've been reduced if I want, but i decide to let my siblings have a better life now.
my electricity bill is averagely 300 a month btw, 110 for streamyx, celcom bill 150 monthly with 3g package ( i travel alot, and cant live without internet u see) astro.. and other minor stuffs.

you gotta really own a house to see all these bills coming. when I bought my house last year, all I had in mind was.. the installment.. didn't see all those coming.

btw, my previous pay was averagely 10k, and due to some stuffs happened in between.. my last drawn pay was about 7k thats about 3k less than usual, and my planning was for my 10k avg pay.. therefore the insufficient funds problem came.. still surviving, but with much lesser savings than before.

they think u earn alot so u cant say no to them?
or was u scare they jatuh muka u?
but okay i understand tat electric bills will easily jump up to 200 to 300
astro is neva a luxury i do get free entertainment via pps any hk drama or watsoever
trust me alot of my old relatives who doesnt have knowledge on comp knows how to use it
i guess u do have bad financial planning at this moment but im not criticizing u
i assume u work in sales line as well
well i guess many ppl at the sales line suffered the same way as well

If this is the case, I assume you work in overseas and bcos of RM appreciates against your local foreign currency, you will feel the loss of income there.

Otherwise, it will be either in an airline industry or O&G sector.

One thing I cant understand, you are supporting 3-4 family members with your sole income alone? How about your siblings? Maybe you can ask them to fork out some budget to help you to settle some of the bills?

dun worry
first office on any major airlines does pay good
i guess u have either have alot of investment through getting the CPL
me myself was thinking of goin to HM aerospace but the fee itself cost a bomb
so its okay when u struggle through the beginning stage of ur career
as u know in the aviation industry its among the fastest job which u can achieve break-even from ur investment for the license
good luck to u

Depends which airline u are in la bro.. if u join those airline like MAS which they only ask u to fly an average of 30-40 hrs a mth, then ur allowance will be peanuts too. If u join Airasia, they will ask u to fly an average of 60 hrs a mth, ur allowance will be much too in contrast.

Pilot's get a basic salary of approx RM5K + allowances.

My training was paid by company, lucky me there, and yeah like jurlique said, the allowances have decreased tremendously recently, due to less flying and all..

Its not like the company wants though, overall airliners in the world aren't really making money, its gonna be tough in the future too..

unless u work with MH or AK other than that i wouldnt know
maybe firefly or berjaya air? well since jetfuel has really increase tremendously its hard for major airliner to make any profit out of it but not to say they made zero profit out of it
i think we are abit out of topic..!!

well im still a student, this time last year i was working for retail, my salary (basic) was about RM1400 plus OT(RM300),Commission alone was about RM3300. All togather was about RM5K, i was 20 then. But again working for retail means, that your commission is inconsistent and certain companies like myself take months to pay commissions.

I need help guys, I dont know what course to do. Im 18.
Im do have interest in the business world, but dont know which part to start with and with sector.

I read bout someone who earns RM18k as a VP in corporate management.
What course to do to be able to do that kinda of job?

Im also interested in Oil&Gas company but the its not really a demanding job in the future as petroleum and natural gases are decreasing. Green energy will be the new source. If so what course to do to get into green energy industry? Engineering field?

Really need advices..thanks guys
