QUOTE(mjjj @ Nov 22 2009, 12:31 PM) do consider about the interest that the bank charge u I can't agree more on this, most of us think that buying property will make us money in long run, but most of us forgot bout the cost inccured, not only the interest charged, the maintenance of the property, the taxes that comes with it, so in order to gain from the property, theres more than just buying to gain from it, a lot more to consider. its easily u get a house for 500k now and end up paying 200 or 300k more on loans btw, I do agree that young ppl now earn averagely more than ppl in our previous generation, if they're willing to work that is. |

who said real estate doesnt have risk involved?
remember those property on bukit beruntung now is also called bukit berugi banyak and they would first think klia would be based around there and now its based on sepang itself those housing near sepang is slowly appreciating buying new houses not second hand ones does have higher appreciation but onli buy from reputable developer and during time like this they might juz stop the whole project just like that. by then ure property wasnt appreciating and yet there was not anyone who wanted to rent ur property even at a low price. end up even if u earn 5k per month and yet u still have ur loan commitment with ur bank and ure very much in trouble as well as many individuals out there. |

QUOTE(mjjj @ Nov 23 2009, 05:13 PM) oh really? where did u spend at? really depends u know? my parents weren't as lucky as I am, they couldn't afford to buy house all these while so they were renting, so when I started working, I strive to buy them and myself a house, now we live together obviously, and as a working man, you don't expect your parents to give you allowance and all anymore right? self expenditure will be there, to get to work you need a transport.if u had 5k u better off many ppl and since the cost of living in msia is much lower than our counterparts the 5k u earning is better off than many ppl is many countries hidan its unavoidable that 60% lyn forumers is blowing alot of waters so my main expenditure is the house i can say, due to some mistake, i took fixed rate loan and I am paying slightly higher installments for the loan, inclusive of the insurance that comes with it, its about 2.4k every month for a 410k house in usj. 30 years loan my car is a proton, which cost 600 every month for the next 7 years expenditure comes all in about 1.5k for food and petrol, isn't alot, cause the cost of food for me and my gf is there.. lets see.. I guess standard house have internet, astro, right? thats about 500-800 inclusive of internet, electricity, phone bills and waterbills~ all in laa it may sound like luxury to most, but to me its necessity, I can't live without internet, and my parents and siblings can't live without astro. and I have not included the extras such as health insurance. and unexpected expenditure, house maitenance.. so how does 5k seem a lot? my monthly commitment is 5.5k right now, and 500 bucks of it is my own commitment which is not necessary, so 5k is really just enough, without much savings. btw, I am 24 this year, and if you think I am blowing water, its really up to you. QUOTE(chezzball @ Nov 23 2009, 05:53 PM) or should we say, money is never enough, cause I remember back then, with rm300, it was just enough, then became rm800, was just enough too, then came higher pay now, just enough again.. so we will never be satisfied with what we have, I gotta learn to live within my budget |

(they think you earn a lot, so they can demand for it) electricity bills rm 100? have u seen a standard house electricity bill yet? a family of 5 will easily cost you 200, even if u control your usage, once again, I agree that its luxury here, cause 4 Rooms with 4 airconds running for at least 8 hours every night, could've been reduced if I want, but i decide to let my siblings have a better life now. my electricity bill is averagely 300 a month btw, 110 for streamyx, celcom bill 150 monthly with 3g package ( i travel alot, and cant live without internet u see) astro.. and other minor stuffs. you gotta really own a house to see all these bills coming. when I bought my house last year, all I had in mind was.. the installment.. didn't see all those coming. btw, my previous pay was averagely 10k, and due to some stuffs happened in between.. my last drawn pay was about 7k thats about 3k less than usual, and my planning was for my 10k avg pay.. therefore the insufficient funds problem came.. still surviving, but with much lesser savings than before.
