Does the stock firmware for AC18 support IPV6? Can't seems to find it in the settings.

Hi all, please give me some advice.

Im thinking of getting Tenda AC18 to replace my stock Unifi Netis DL4480V. Sometimes the wifi signal is poor on 2nd floor home. Would using AC18 resolve my problem? Do I need to flash some firmware (never done it before) to improve performance?

my suggestion is u pull lan cable to second floor and use ac18 as second router AP then you have 2 strong connection at both floor.

BTW, what is your experience on WIFI speed after flashing merlin or tomato? Same speed like stock firmware?

My current firmware is v15 and I think you guys uploaded the V18. Any improvement with V18? BTW, why this router dont have QOS? It only has bandwidth limiter to limit certain connected IP. Really hope can be like Tomato which I tried for my Huawei WS880. Guest network can assign other IP that I can apply bandwidth limiter for all those connected to the guest network.

I feel like wanna try Tomato but afraid the wifi performance will be poor compared to stock firmware.

Great Wifi speed after merlin. FreshTomato very not ideal, speed slow, range small. Just dont use tomato.

Hi, just bought ac18, want to try upgrade merlin firmware HGG 380.70.
Can we use Asus DDNS service (.asuscomm.com) using this merlin firmware?

I never successfully did that though.

I see mean cannot use asus ddns serv.
One more question after upload merlin firmware can we revert back to original firmware if can, what is the procedure because I cant find it in here.

I use No-IP free much better.
upload the Tenda firmware in the cfe thing instead of Asus firmware
