Congratulation......don't forget to disable DHCP server.

EDIT: and before you ask : Go to Advanced > Network > LAN ----> use other values such as 192.168.0.2 - 192.168.0.254 (don't use 192.168.0.1, it gonna clash with your main wireless router)

-.- didn't you read the warning? After update, everything will reset to factory default.
You will need to reconfigure it.

Start with setting up VLAN tagging.

Done it.

Should I enable 'TX beam forming' ?

btw.. It can't get the internet from the main router
using Wireless Bridging for NTP right?

Yes. Must enable beamforming.

Other manufacturers with 802.11ac enable beamforming by default in their firmwares. I have no idea why tplink disable it by default.

Nope, can't get NTP from the main router WAN. sad.gif

Haha, yes, that’s what I mean. Get your own main router, and use the C1200 as an AP or whatever.

Yes, the NTP is depend on WAN connection, so just manually re-setting the time on every restart.

Other than that, it is OK for daily use, for now la.

Sorry if this has been asked before. I've update my c1200 firmware to c1200v1_eu_time-up-boot-1.0.0 build 20180502.

I suppose that the firmware is for Time but I'm using unifi. Now, i've reset the router(the small hole button) and i cant login with admin/admin anymore.

Whats the password?

This is confirmed to be Time as my wifi ssid now showing blazingspeed-time.

EDIT: confirmed by time that admin is not the password. Anyone can share that?

By the way, TIME's firmware has the "Upgrade Firmware" function hidden.

To re-flash your router back to TM's firmware follow the instructions on the first page of this thread...

My TP-Link C1200 has always been a spare. I remember being able to achieve 100Mbps on the 5Ghz band when TM Technician set it up. However today when I set it up again. I am only able to achieve 100Mbps through my LAN port. I am getting <50Mbps on 2.4Ghz and <60Ghz on 5Ghz band.

My question is if LAN can achieve 100Mbps, means should be no issue with my Unifi line right? I will have to fiddle around the channels for both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz to find one that can give me full speed?

Thank you. icon_question.gif

I can get 100Mbps easily on 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz on my devices that support 300Mbps on 2.4GHz and 867Mbps on 5GHz.

Hmm, recently encountered this Chinese site.

https://cyhour.com/750/
(Use google translate)

Apparently, that router has exactly the same silicon hardware as TPLINK C1200 V1 EU.
Not sure if that custom K2P_Merlin firmware might work with C1200. hmm.gif

Any professional guinea pig with TTL cable wanna test?
