a VERY small dent on my hdd cover....lol. nothing other than that. thank god for the metal chassis thumbup.gif

i had to slip a bit of paper under the keyboard near the arrow keys cause it was sinking in, and when i opened up to upgrade ram i found a space between the keyboard and the optical drive. other than that no complaints biggrin.gif

Not much to report? Haha, my M1210 still doing fine after about 2 weeks of endless use... BUT, I just noticed that the gap between the black magnesium cover and the grey plastic LCD frame is quite noticable... Design defect? My paranoia? sweat.gif

Well, unless it comes apart (and providing me with a good opportunity to assess how "COMPELTE" Complete-Cover really is), I guess we won't know for sure... Eh? biggrin.gif

But, things are getting stable on my side of the M1210 use... Not much gaming on it anymore, OR GUI mods... Maybe it's the exams I'm currently taking... Maybe its just me getting old... sweat.gif

OR, maybe its the 2nd hand Sony Clie PEG-TJ37 PDA that I just brought that's taking my mind of the M1210 (and ANOTHER 2nd hand Clie PEG-SJ22 I got barely a few days before that)... whistling.gif

Talk about exam induced madness... rolleyes.gif

When a 12incher is STILL too big, what would you do? For me (considering the limited amount of money that I have to even THINK of getting a EeePC), I succumbed to the devils of vintage Palm computing... sweat.gif

And, 3 years on (except for the crap battery life), the PEG-TJ37 holds its own nicely even against most Windows Mobile PDAPhones... Even with its crap 32MBs of storage (thankfully expandable to 4GB through MSProDuo Cards), it STILL feels faster then my friend's HTC Touch... I know I can't phone people with the Clie though, but I expect my PDA to be just that: A PDA... nod.gif

My Eiten-Tan - SE W810i - can fill up for much of the rest... laugh.gif

Thinking of doing a full article on the evolution of PDAs (at least how I see it)... Maybe later after exams... icon_rolleyes.gif

Haha... IMHO I still think the Iphone's a complete waste of money... For now (with the current lack of WiFi and 3rd party programs anyway)... sweat.gif

The Eee PC's an entirely diff story though, but the currently imported 4GB version isn't really THAT practical (I can carry 4GB in my pocket mind you, swap it at will for another 4GB MSPro plus the fact that Documents To Go 10 STILL has better Word 2007 compatibility then the OpenOffice on the Eee)... icon_rolleyes.gif

UNLESS you manage to install WinXP on it... Only then can it be considered really practical (if not a bit toasty and cramped - 4GB minus WinXP install = not a lot of space left... But, you can always plug a External HDD into it, right?)... icon_rolleyes.gif

they're quite fast.

i complained on friday about my screen (midnight tongue.gif)
then sat morning they reply about doing some software and stuff ( i did it to humor them)
then i replied same evening
monday they replied they send tech over to replace screen in two days
tuesday tech came over and was fast and professional with things. even asked me to call him if anything happened!

they called at 11 ( i was asleep) and so after 10 miss calls...they called my dad. who called me when the guy came over. haha.

i like dell customer service. wanna upgrade warranty lol.
my friend abuses it. haha.

i feel my m1210 is aging already. slowing down in terms of GPU power. cpu wise there still is quite a bit left but im using this machine less on gaming, looking to buy either a psp or a desktop for that.

so should i stick to it or can anyone give me suggestions?

@zhinsara
feel the same way too, but hey, it runs CSS without a hick, and thats enough for me.

P.S: man this thread is going to be buried by 1330 and 1530, lol

Not here, I went for the whole "9 course dinner" (the three-year CompleteCover) during purchase (cheaper by a few hundred bucks)... icon_rolleyes.gif

Sorry for disappearing for quite a while, guys... I... went PDA crazy for a while... sweat.gif

On the subject of warranty extensions, I'm currently thinking of extending warranty for my Axim, which, surprisingly, seems to still be possible (according to the SA that I talked to yesterday morning, as I was trying to buy some batteries for the Axe from Dell - cheaper then third party + shipping brows.gif brows.gif )... thumbup.gif

And yes, my Clie TJ37 has just gotten its backside whooped... it's in my Mom's hands now... sweat.gif

Now I'm really becoming a Dell fanboi... My Axie-Tan keeps on surprising me (managed to make it play some of my Animes without any re-encoding - on a PDA? Yeah, I'm pretty surprised myself... God, they're sharp as heck on the 640x480 3.6' screen - if you can overlook the famous "polarization issue")... Pity Dell didn't think the Axim line was profitable enough and - excuse the pun - axed it... sweat.gif

I'm gonna get me some 16GB compact flash cards and make some Ipod Touches envious (try playing unreencoded DIVX movies, buster!)... Excuse the Apple-o-phobia... icon_rolleyes.gif

On the M1210 front, currently having a blast playing COD4 multiplayer on Japanese servers (when the skies are clear and the pings are low)... Thank god the COD4 engine is darned scalable, it still looks amazing even with most graphics settings dumbed down... I guess I'm an easy man to please... thumbup.gif

By the way, good thing that XPS of urs still be able to play current games. My laptop is now back to it's mothership already (super-long "fortunate" story of derred). And oh, did i mentioned it will never ever come back?
