buy the size according to your viewing distance and space.
if too short distance, 60" is not a better choice than 50".
also, what u watch - if mostly HD/4k stuff, 60" might be better if distance is good enough.

Hi bro. Can help my out.

My viewing distance is about 1.8m - 2.2m. Maybe will just play HD 720p or FHD stuff. Never own FHD/4K tv before.

I look around with the viewing distance calculator. They said 49" is enough. Will 55" or 60" become too big for my distance?

Thanks in advance. smile.gif

6-7ft... i wud suggest u go for 40" only.

that size, 4k does not mean much, 1080p is fine.

50" is best for 8-10ft; 60" 11-12 ft.

if u view too large at a short distance, yr eyes get tired very easily, u won't like it.

above is just my judgment and experience.

Ermm...I would go with a 60" if viewing distance is about 12 feet. If lesser then 7 or 8 feet then 50" would be suffice.. smile.gif biggrin.gif

Anyone can advice calibration for this tv model. I find the colour very dull compared to my old LG tv.

Can’t seem to find the calibration settings on RTINGS

have u tried the diff av modes and for each mode, played around with the various variable settings, incl "advanced"?

i doubt there is any recommended calibrated settings besides the default originals.

u will need to pay someone a do a proper calibration if u wish.

bolded part.

i think u totally cut off power when switch off, correct?

if u do that, the next time u power up, the android needs to restart... u wait a bit for that.

try switching off with remote but do NOT cut off power.

then u see diff.

Video will be transmitted via SB -> TV. Change TV to HDMI input which is connected to the SB. You'll see some display from the SB, like menu and such. That's where the video from BR would be broadcast-ed, while sound stays with the SB.

this is the std and correct way to connect a box player via AVR or soundbar, then to tv.

the thing is some people want to do hdmi arc for the sake of not switching on the avr/soundbar if they just want audio from tv.
soundbar is using just one input (from box) and one output to tv.

player passes video+audio to soundbar; soundbar process/output audio while passthru video signals only to tv.
try that connection, forget the hdmi arc for while, see if u get audio lag or not... u shudn't.

i have tried to connect tv box audio out to soundbar via optical cable, no issue with the lips sync.

the soundbar i got has only 1 hdmi port. so the above matters is not available for me sad.gif

use of optical is fine in yr case since soundbar is a basic 2.1, limited to dd/dts... won't do hd audio anyway.

that being the case, check your hdmi connections of devices attached.

remove hdmi and other device cables one by one and see if the restarting stops.

if same, u should contact sharp service becos android restart everytime while on standby power is NOT normal.

I have Sharp LC60UA6500X and Sony KDL40W660E. Sony performs better in terms of clarity, color and brightness although its not 4k.

40in vs 60in.

Sure everything is different.

Esp with low quality videos.

I guess it's because of weak wifi signal that causing it, can't load too fast.
