Is it worth getting the JR Hokkaido Pass ?

My 5N6D itinerary will be as below:

1st day - New Chitose --> Otaru
2nd day - Otaru ---> Hakodate
3rd day - Hakodate ---> Sapporo
4th day - Sapporo only
5th day - Shiroi Koibito + Bankei Ski Area
6th day - Sapporo ---> New Chitose

I'm kinda confuse with JR Hokkaido Pass coverage  laugh.gif
*im going next February
*
Yes. From Sapporo to Hakodate and back to Sapporo already worth it

Depends where you want to go. Haneda is closer to Tokyo city. Normally it cost you more to land in Haneda.

Same company and cathay dragon is mostly regional, ie from HK to KL.

For such a short trip I would skip Hakodate and spend more time around Sapporo and your other points of interest.
If that is the case you may not need the JR pass...

enjoy ... kc

There is a mix feeling for me to choose whether Narita or haneda.
Both got pro and cons.

Haneda good in term of closer distance to City
Narita good in term of Arrival & Departure time (KUL <-> NRT)

In terms of product quality, Cathay Pacific is better. Cathay dragon is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cathay Pacific. Same like Singapore Airlines owned SilkAir.

For me my choice of flight (preferred airline, pricing, and schedule) is more important. Whether it goes to haneda or narita is normally just an afterthought.

Just came bk. I fly in Narita, and few days later fly off to Sapporo from Haneda. Actually don't feel any difference between these 2, as long as your hotel are easily accessible to/fr the airport and city area. Prioritise your choice based on time of flight and airline. Then get the most suitable lodging, settle.

since we are on this topic, i am also trying to find information on hotels as i have 2 adults and a kid below 6...
Japan treats kids above 6 as adults and depending on situations, it will be either half price or full price...
the issue here is between 5-6 yo, I can't seem to find a clear answer on how hotels are charging...
i only know for Noboribetsu, most of the hotels charge half price for kids as they provide meals and beds
*
We travel around with my boy since he was 3yrs old. Every online booking, we will indicate 2 adults n 1 child (provide age info). We don't really bother if they charge for the kid or not, just to make sure stress free for a vacation. And if any argument on hotel arrangement, with a booking properly said number of pax will always win. Recent trip, we booked a suite room in a osaka hostel. Booking indicated 2 single bed + 1 sofa bed for us 2 adults + 11yr old child. When we were there, the reception behave as in not expecting 3pax. When I insist we booked for 3pax and it mentioned sofa bed, she insist they only have sofa in the room, not sofa bed. Anyway, I don't care, and tell her my boy can have the sofa...or whatever, we just want our room without extra charge as my booking is accurate, hotel info misleading. In the end, they setup the sofa bed for us. Guess what, it really is sofa bed in the room. But don't know why they try to be funny with us.

For Japan, it is better to get a bed space for each pax. Unless you go for premium hotel or you all really small built. As you don't really know if their bed big enough to share.

I have no experience buying from Disney website, but i think you at least can save as pdf to reprint. or have the pdf sent to your email

I bought from Klook, which they sent me pdf to print.

Anyway, the only important thing in the self-print is just the QR code. Usually got 4 similar QR codes at the 4 corner, so no matter how you fold the paper, you'll still get the QR code at the end.

I would like to ask if anyone knows any good website for apartment rentals? I'm gonna be living there for a year or so for work purposes in the middle of next year so I might as well plan now. Thanks!
