I have drafted my free & easy trip to tokyo as follow.
Can anyone advise me on my queries. 1) Plan to stay at 1 hotel for day 7 to day 11. Which district/city is most concenient to stay. I put Shijuku as a draft 2) Please recommend any other district/city to visit for day 10,11&12. Any name will do as i have no specific preferences. Just go there relax. Day 1 - Arrive Haneda, pick up car to Hakone Day 2 - Hakone Day 3 - Hakone Day 4 - Heading to kawaguchigo Day 5 - Kawaguchigo Day 6 - Kawaguchigo Day 7 - Heading to Shinjuku, return car. Check in any Shinjuku hotel Day 8 - Shinjuku Day 9 - Shibuya Day 10 - ? Day 11 - ? Day 12 - ? ,check in any Disneyland hotel Day 13 - Disneyland Day 14 - DisneySea, check in any Odaiba hotel Day 15 - Odaiba Day 16 - Check out, Depart from Haneda This post has been edited by musteng: Dec 9 2018, 03:19 AM |

QUOTE(ozak @ Dec 10 2018, 02:38 PM) QUOTE(RegentCid @ Dec 10 2018, 03:25 PM) Yes, Please apply the International Driving Permit from JPJ. Just bring 1 passport size & Rm150 will do. The IDP is valid for 1 year upon application.Process of rent car at Japan are super easy because staff you guide you step by step and explain insurance detail. Just make sure you check the car properlly, see any dent or not and take picture.Take picture of car fuel also, when return also put same amount. Make sure tyre are perfect or acceptable range too You can skip the car inspection if you op for full CWD (Collision Damage Waiver). Normally i get full CWD due to hussle free |

QUOTE(sweet_pez @ Dec 10 2018, 12:14 PM) Nice, you've got enough time to cover Fuji 5 Lakes. Thanks. Some district name will help. I will focus on east, south, north, west rather than specific attraction. As for the empty days - depends on what you want to do. Consider Asakusa, Ueno, Tokyo Tower, Ginza, Akihabara etc which is not in your list. Suggest you do up more research and see what interests you. Wake up having a breakfast then only think where to go |

You can choose not to buy, buy the basic coverage or buy the full coverage depends on your budget. What is this about ? Puspakom car inspection ? If any Collision or Damage to the car, the CWD will cover for it. You can choose to op out and bare the own risk. It is up to personal preference |

QUOTE(ozak @ Dec 11 2018, 10:15 AM) Oh. But it is better to take the cwd right? Since we are not familiar with the road, traffic, rules and regulations there. It is really up to personal preference. some people will tell you, "my driving skill so good why waste money to buy? you look down on me? Actually I m more concern about knocking down a guy than the car. I can only share my car rental experienced and you have to decide yourself. But one thing for sure, International Driving License is a must to apply from JPJ. If some one telling you no need because the staff doesn't check, just ignore them. The staff doesn't check and do you have IDP to rent a car is different thing. If they check and you don't have it, then your whole trip is ruined. QUOTE(Like a Bause @ Dec 14 2018, 01:55 PM) There is a mix feeling for me to choose whether Narita or haneda. Both got pro and cons. Haneda good in term of closer distance to City Narita good in term of Arrival & Departure time (KUL <-> NRT) |

QUOTE(Blofeld @ Dec 18 2018, 09:59 AM) Normally they will bulldoze the snow from the main road after snowing. But you still need to be cautioned because the snow which compressed become ice is very slippery. You will slidely lost control even roll over a hand palm size of ice. |
