What flight is it? If it's ANA, it's damn good deal biggrin.gif ...if AA, it's okay, average price. Arriving at 10pm, you'll now have to plan your stay and transport to accommodation well.

Is AA ๐Ÿ˜‚ cant afford ANA currently. Thought is a good deal to get RM700+ for return ticket to osaka. Nevermind just need to plan my travel well now.

I tried before JAL from Tokyo to Itami. whole journey no snacks no juice too. Don't even have LCD screen to see anything. Just like taking low cost flight.

Hello guys, I am going on a last minute planning for a solo trip to Tokyo this December.
This is my first solo trip and first trip to Japan.

I know December is a less ideal time to travel in Japan due to the weather and short-daytime, but this is the only time I can travel before I begin my next job during January.

This is my rough itinerary thus far.
12th of December (Wednesday) Day1: Ueno, Ameyoko, Akihabara
13th of December (Thursday) Day 2: DisneySEA
14th of December (Friday) Day 3: Mt Fuji Tour (Go or No go?)
15th of December (Saturday) Day 4: Asasuka, Sensoji, Tower, River Cruise to Odaiba (7pm Fireworks every Saturday during December)
16th of December (Sunday) Day 5: Yoyogi, Meiji, Harajuku, Shibuya, Shinjuku
17th of December (Monday) Day 6: Kamakura Day Trip.
18th of December (Tuesday) Day 7: Tsukiji (just to makan, I know there's no more market), Ginza, Tokyo Station, Imperial Palace, Roponggi Hills, Tokyo Tower
19th of December (Wednesday) Day 8: Chill/pack luggage/ last min shop around (Maybe Ikebukuro?), Flight late night.

I will be staying at Sadou Hostel at Ueno, due to its close proximity to train station and recommendation from my friend. Also its looks very decent for its price.

Right now, my main concern is the Mount Fuji day trip. I haven't arrange anything for that day yet.
I am not sure if its really worth it. (I am looking at https://www.govoyagin.com/activities/japan-...=asiatravelbug)
I heard Mt Fuji view should be clear during Dec due to cold/dry air of Winter.
However, some people say some areas might be closed due to frozen roads?

Can anyone advise on any changes I should make in my itinerary? Is it too packed or anything?

I would like to ask if RM4000/110k Yen is sufficient as pocket money for the 8 day trip. (Ignoring accommodation costs and Disney ticket)

yes...the one i bold one pack. depending on what you plan to do there. if just "touch n go" and you don't plan to stick around for long then it shouldn't be a problem

you planning any shopping? if yes then it may not be enough. otherwise its more than enough. you can bring a credit card/ATM card to backup

These area snowing normally start at Jan - Feb. If December snowing also won't be thick snow.
Drive slow and extra careful will be no problem.

Don't worry, getting them for average price is good enough. Nowadays flights are so expensive sweat.gif ...yep since you've bought it, don't think about the price anymore and concentrate on the itinerary. Happy planning!

Seems like we'll be in Tokyo around similar period biggrin.gif who knows, maybe actually bump into you.

Your itinerary isn't too packed and it's do-able. Nicely planned. In terms of Mt Fuji - it's a bit of a waste if you do day trip. Are you looking at Hakone or Fuji 5 Lakes? It's 2 different area. One of the highlight in out of city trip is the onsen. You can consider doing 2D1N stay at either Hakone or Kawaguchiko and enjoy onsen in the hotel/ ryokan.

Instead of Tsukiji, consider visiting Toyosu since the fish market had moved there. But as one of my friend puts it - Toyosu is 'clean and structural, like a cold, systematic government bureau'. Btw since you're in Tokyo in December, will recommend the Tokyo Midtown Illumination: https://tokyocheapo.com/events/midtown-christmas/

Came back from Nagoya-takayama- kanazawa-toyoma-nagoya route a few days ago

Overall, a very pleasant drive and tour. 2days of rain and cloudy skies. rather satisfying as it is my first time seeing 'real' autumn colors

Hey guys, will be my first time going to Japan! Landing in Tokyo next week. Please rate my itinerary biggrin.gif

I am planning on spending 2 days in Tokyo and I want to explore and visit attractions these areas and do the following:

Day 1:
Ryogoku
- Edo-Tokyo Museum
- The Japanese Sword Museum
- Kyu-Yasuda Teien Garden

Akihabara
- @Home Cafe

Day 2:
Shinjuku
- Shinjuku Gyoen
- Omoide Yokocho

Shibuya
- Magnet by Shibuya 109

I have also been very fascinated about eating Japanese food, but have heard that a lot of the restaurants write their menus in Japanese. cry.gif I did some looking on Facebook and stumbled on this website called Doot. I have never been to Japan and can barely speak it but if I can get a local person to go with me, that would be great!

Have any of you tried using it?
