Anyone attended Sumo tournament before? Any tips on which website is the best for gaijins to pre-order / buy?

I'll be in Tokyo 24th-27th Jan which coincides with the last few days of the January tournament (13th-27th Jan). Thinking of attending either 24th (Thurs) or 25th (Fri).

Wondering if I should pay a reseller to book for me or just wait for 8th December when ticket sales open and ownself go and place orders on the english website http://sumo.pia.jp/en/sumo01.jsp

Been know some time.

It is some windy road uphill and downhill. Just like genting. There is 1 stress of road that even have music rhythm when drive over at a constant speed.

You can stop some view point scenery. It lead to a some resort town famous with onsen.

Next week will go over there once more.

I find this very very interesting.
Me and my whole family thought we were hearing things when we left Kawaguchiko back to Tokyo and there was a stretch of road that had something like a farewell music coming out from it.
Bloody impressive!

It is actually make of some thick paint strip on the road. With carefully space the paint strip, and width of the strip, it create some different tune when the tyre run over it.

Before reach that particular road, a sign board beside will tell you to drive at what speed in order to hear the rhythm.

I guess you experience driving here before when go through some slow down corner with yellow paint strip on the road.

I believe you will stay at 4 - 5 star hotel in Japan. Just email them ask them get the ticket for you.
When you pay so much money on 4 - 5 star hotel, must ask them do something smile.gif
This also what I usually do.

If you booked hotel room before 8 Dec then just try booked though link. If you already booked room at Tokyo, just ask hotel do for you

What is the best way to travel around Kamakura-Enoshima-Fujisawa area?

Train itself is enough?

Or renting a car would be more efficient?

It seems to me like some temples are a bit far from the train stations.

シッド様、I'm not made of money leh. In Tokyo / Osaka / cities that I won't spend much time in hotel I stay APA or other biz hotel then use that money on food and activities instead. Normally only when go ryokan and gonna spend the whole day relaxing there then only splurge for more expensive place smile.gif

Anyway I found this gaijin website. https://shop.buysumotickets.com/shop/ but sexpensive, they charge ¥12000 for Arena A tickets that only cost ¥8500 if you ownself buy on ticket pia site. Think I will just risk it and sendiri try to get tickets on 8th Dec opening, think weekday shouldn't be so bad ba.

The place we stayed at in Nikko was pretty strategic as Kanmangafuchi Abyss was just a 10 minute walk along the river.
Really enjoyed the peace and serenity of an early morning stroll without the maddening crowds.
