QUOTE(realitec @ Jan 27 2018, 11:04 PM) Yea right but it is cool when you can charge 3 of your device ( phone, airpod, watch) in one wireless pad only.. Yep. So all 3 devices battery get heated up faster(especially with casing on) and Apple want Us to replace all of them faster. If u go to official Apple website on recommendations to preserver battery life, Apple even ask us to revive casing when charging with wired. But ironically with wireless charging, it relies on heat to charge a device. https://www.apple.com/batteries/maximizing-performance/Not against air power, but generally how the entire wireless charging technology works gimmicks.

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Jan 27 2018, 05:46 PM) Well, Ifags and Samsung Fags just won't click. Which is why it's good to have both QUOTE(kmrdeva @ Jan 27 2018, 06:17 PM) Which functions don’t work? Haha, no idea. I guess the integration won't be 100% seeing how both are on different platforms. QUOTE(666devil @ Jan 27 2018, 11:02 PM) I won’t bother with wireless charging. It’s a gimmick. Overpriced. Charge slow and heat up the battery more. In the end shorter battery lifespan. Then Apple throttle speed again. 😏 Hmm.. you have a point there. I guess I'm just curious to see it and will also most likely not buy it coz it'll cost the upwards of RM300 or so, knowing Apple.

Thanks for the information. Very informative but yea, i will conside fast charging charger first before wireless pad..

Anyone facing battery drain after updated to 11.2.5? After unplug from charges, battery showed usage and standby time was same. Restart then problem solved, but next day same thing happen again 😔

QUOTE(666devil @ Jan 28 2018, 08:24 AM) But ironically with wireless charging, it relies on heat to charge a device. That is inaccurate. The charger is not generating heat to charge the phone's battery. How Does Wireless Charging Work?QUOTE Wireless chargers typically use magnetic induction. The short explanation is that they use magnetism to transmit energy. First, you place the device–like a smartphone—on the wireless charger. The current coming from the wall power outlet moves through the wire in the wireless charger, creating a magnetic field. The magnetic field creates a current in the coil inside the device sitting on the wireless charger. This magnetic energy is converted to electrical energy, which is used to charge the battery. Devices must have the appropriate hardware in them to support wireless charging—a device without the necessary coil can’t charge wirelessly.
While the Qi standard was originally limited to magnetic induction, it now also supports magnetic resonance. This works similarly, but the device can be up to 45mm away from the wireless charger’s surface rather than touching it directly. This is less efficient than magnetic induction, but there are some advantages—for example, a wireless charger could be mounted under a table’s surface and you could place a device on the table to charge it. It also allows you to place multiple devices on a single charging pad, and have all of them charge at once.

QUOTE(kmrdeva @ Jan 28 2018, 09:36 AM) That is inaccurate. The charger is not generating heat to charge the phone's battery. How Does Wireless Charging Work?It generates more heat that is battery’s worst enemy. From the same howtogeek.com that u shared on why not to use wireless charging: https://www.howtogeek.com/233205/why-you-do...our-smartphone/Other points mentioned in the article: - Less power efficiently. - it’s not really wireless. U still need to plug it to nearby power point - U need to keep bending down to use ur phone while charging. Don’t have to do this while charging with cable. - damn slow especially when u wanna quickly charge and leave. - pay so much more extra - if placed a bit off position, it will not charge. Much faster to plug in a cable So do the more reasonable thing, just buy a longer cable already. This post has been edited by 666devil: Jan 28 2018, 04:58 PM

You mentioned previously wireless charging uses heat to charge the phone. That is wrong. Anyway I am happy to have wireless charging on an iPhone, finally. I can use my existing Samsung wireless charger. Convenient.

Appreciate it 👍🏻 It doesn’t use heat to charge, but the heat generated from the inefficiency of the power transfer comes to the same result - more heat.

Less than heat generated when fast wired charging, I think. I don’t really baby my phone anyway, it’s just a tool and not a family member. Can always have the battery replaced in future. Do as you will

Thanks for replied bro, just gone through google and temporary solved it. I will keep monitor for tonight, hopefully no any abnormal battery drain. 😅😅
