Exactly guys. That's why I wondered earlier, why TS wanna put up a new thread. The iPhone X will be dead soon. U don't need a new thread. Most of the comments were not exactly helpful or comprehensive pun. Most were about chit chat chit chat like kopitiam. Anyway, iphone x is bad. And I will say it again it's a hype. Not really a heartbreak to me.

So now are u going to recommend this phone? Or better to stick with iPhone 8 Plus, or any other previous bersion...

I would say, don't buy apple at all kot. I guna sebab terpaksa and I don't dare to use android anymore. Too phobia. I would say, buy the iPhone, any iphone when apple has learned how to price their items right. They should look at our currency. It's USD 1= RM4. In fact now is 3.93. The bullshit price of 5k phone is totally unacceptable. I know why they price like that, it's because they want to follow the SGD pricing. They didn't convert directly to USD but to SGD instead. I've been buying apple products since 10 years ago, they are always following USD conversion pricing. Only this past two or three years, come on. USD 1k= RM5.2. This is totally absurd and bullshitting Malaysian to the max.

But having to do without the notch would mean the phone wont be so 'bezel-less'.

I dont know man. With this kind of pricing, was Apple expecting sales would be as good as the yesteryears. Its selling alright, but not at the sales volume expecting of it. Not everyone could afford it.
*
Yea, agreed on the pricing. Hopefully Apple learnt from their mistake and come out with better pricing strategy in the future.

What apple wants to do, they will do.

Gonna keep my ipx for 2 years at least, maybe 4 years if possible. Looking forward to the ipx plus plus plus in late 2020 icon_rolleyes.gif

Update: ok maybe too harsh. I dont meant it. But I do meant about putting a new thread. It will be dead soon. So I hope this will be the last thread. The new thread if u set in will become definitely like the v4 thread or worst. There goes our good discussion at v1-3

Bro, there are already over a 100 pages on this thread, and there are many other willing participants here. Don't see what your beef is with the TS starting a new thread, it's not like we're taking up space on your server.

Sorry you feel so strongly about how bad your iPhone X is. Perhaps it's time you cut your losses, sell it off and move on smile.gif

I used to compare specs vs price and iphones were always overpriced sh1t to me. Android superphones trash iphone specs, on paper.

But have come to realise that the iphone is more than the sum of its parts. The user experience needs to be ahem, experienced, for a true understanding of what it brings to the table.

Hope the ipx doesn't fail on me, though. It's almost double (telco unit) of what I usually pay for a smartphone.

Many high end Android these days easily match if not better than ip in terms of lag. Such as S8+, Mate10, OP5T etc. You cannot compare with cheaper mid end Android

Yea, my friend using S8, but nah, I can see the disappointment from her face. It lags after few weeks, maybe girl should use Apple? tongue.gif As man understands better of their phone.

I always inform people that Android phones totally OWN iPhone in terms of specs, features, etc... But the one thing that Apple wins is the user-friendliness of iOS, something that Android is still unable to duplicate... brows.gif

How I came to such a conclusion is this - I work for a company specializing in emergency response services and we came out with our free mobile app in 2017... So when we meet with business partners and prospects, we will get them to download our app and I do help them with installation and all, with majority of people using Android phones. And one thing about Android OS is this - it has one of the most clunky and troublesome ways to download and install an app, unlike the smooth and sleek Apple firmware (and what's with the over-usage of symbols to denote functions, at least iOS states this in clear words)! laugh.gif

I think we all know this to be the case. Most of us stick to Apple only because of the simplicity of the OS, or because we're already invested in the ecosystem, i.e. have close family and friends using it, have other devices like Macs and iPads, bought apps, etc...

I'm still also a google fanboy, though. I have a Home, a Chromecast2 and a Mibox (Android TV) at home. Nvidia Shield TV arriving sometime this week.

All my email, calendar, notes, cloud files are on Google. Still rocking the original personal Google Apps account with my own domain name and 7 users accounts active (for family members, one for my google play ID, one for my apple ID).

Google Assistant is way smarter than Siri and Google Cast is miles ahead of Airplay as far as I am concerned.

Pros and cons on both sides biggrin.gif

google collects all your data and sell billions $  advertisements. that's how they give u so much 'free' stuff.

of course, many ppl don't mind to sell their privacy, similar to prostitutes who exchange their bodies for money.

+1

TBH, my OP5T matches whatever my IPhone X dishes out with the exeption the Iphone X wins on storage of 256GB vs the OP5T's 128GB. Other than that, the OP5T's screen is much bigger and pleasant to look at, the facial unlock is much much faster (without swipe to unlock) though some claims the security is not that of the level of the Iphone X.
