QUOTE(attw @ Jan 12 2018, 07:49 AM) Are you on maxis as well? I also noticed that signal strength in 1U is a little inconsistent. Is it true you need to be in Spore for at least 3 days before the GST refund is accepted?? Read this somewhere on the web before. The other option is to purchase at Changi when you depart. GST directly deducted already. |

No GPS issues too on my previous Ip6s, ip7+ and current ip8+ too. All are local sets. These are on Intel modems, right??

QUOTE(kmrdeva @ Jan 12 2018, 11:30 PM) Both are disappointing to me. I used only UC or Dolphin on my ip8+. UC is my current favorite. Simply because both allow me to adjust font sizes. I had read before Safari had such feature too but I simply couldn't locate it - any tips? This post has been edited by benny888: Jan 13 2018, 07:01 AM |

QUOTE(realitec @ Jan 23 2018, 08:31 AM) Yea, I pick Apple cause it is quality. I don't know why I say so, but yea, less laggy for me compared to Android. Many high end Android these days easily match if not better than ip in terms of lag. Such as S8+, Mate10, OP5T etc. You cannot compare with cheaper mid end Android |

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Jan 29 2018, 11:47 AM) Do you guys turn on airplane mode? Given the phone constantly maintains network and data connections while apps run in the background waiting for data to come in and out, there should not be 0% battery drain during a 8 hour sleep. Since ip6s , ip7+ and current ip8+ ( till firmware 11.1.1) battery drain overnight 8 hours s zero is common with wifi/lte n background app refresh on. However since 11.2.2 n till now 11.3b my lowest I could get was 2%. It was erractic drain on 11.2.2 ranging from 2 to 6%The very good battery standby I would say is only significant advantage over Androids. Others I am not seriously impressed |

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Jan 29 2018, 04:38 PM) If you could get a good deal on it then why not? You do have a good point there! But than many of iPhone users can confirm zero or close to zero drain on standby. We could be tricked into believing so ??It just doesn't make sense does it? Even if the phone is on standby mode, battery usage still occurs as you need power to power the phone through standby and the phone needs to constantly be kept logged on to the celullar network and data. Messages, mails and notifications coming in will also wake the phone. So, there is only one conclusion which is the battery meter is not displaying the actual battery consumption during long standby, either deliberately or not deliberately. |

QUOTE(attw @ Feb 4 2018, 02:10 PM) No la, I believe retailers have their own set of customers, people who don’t trust online platform or people who want the experience of buying from a physical store. Besides, I believe they make a big margin from the accessories we buy from them, ha ha. My gang of buddies had no confidence buying onlineThey prefer retail even if is more expensive Probably they are old ( in 60's) and had fear of being cheated. I did help out them few times buying on their behalf online but had not done so more than a year already. Their constant chasing of delivery status n warranty issues at times was too distracting. |
