hi iPhone X user... how's the compatibility of your apps installed on your phone? i think until now not all apps can support iPhone X screen which will end up the interface didn't showed in full screen... and there will be a black frame on the top and bottom of the screen. I still cannot decide which model to get... either 8 Plus or X... but this screen compatibility issue is a big drawback for me as the apps will look smaller (im currently using 7 Plus)...

any thoughts from u guys?
*
Only one drawback if you are coming from a plus size Iphone, the screen of the X is definately smaller compared to a plus size iphone's screen. If you are used to the large screen of the 7+, and cant accept anything smaller, I would suggest you dont go for the X. IMO the X is a replacement/upgrade for those that are on the normal size Iphones rather than the plus size iphones.

I'd be a bit careful about using cello tape though, might accidentally pull out the SP if the cello tape is too strong biggrin.gif

Ya, thats why need to get those not super strong one. Tap tap only.

Update for those following my battery usage:

Note 8 vs IPX

24 hours later...

IPX: 65% Battery left. (SOT=3hours+)
Note8: Battery died at about 22 hours mark. (SOR=2hours 30 minutes)

IPX surely wins.

Note8 has no games played. Only mainly standby and facebook at night before bed. No Always on Display. Bluetooth off.

IPX games, facebook, emails.
From the above, i'd give the  thumbup.gif  to IPX. Well done there. However the only difference is the screen resolution. Note 8 was running at WQHD+. Maybe FHD would help increase battery life though.

I was previously Note 8 as well, but running at FHD, but battery life is still not on par my iPhone X. Currently i can go on the whole day and still have 30+ % battery while the Note will be around 10-15%.

Looks like I made the right move upgrading from note5 to ipx instead of note8 thumbup.gif

Smaller form factor, more pocketable, longer standby time, snappy little fcuker, ticks most if not all my requirements.

Painful for the wallet, though.

The Note 8 is a great phone for most parts, but battery life is not one of its strong suite.

At IKEA Australia, they have some nice looking wireless charging lamps. Wondering when Malaysia will bring them in instead of their current not so nice looking ones.

Would have bought the lamp but needing to use a universal adaptor for the Aus plug is quite troublesome.

By the way, will it drain more battery if I put live wallpaper on lockscreen compared to still wallpaper?

Because live wallpaper for me is still "still", unless been activate by 3D touch.

does all those so call 'screen protector' have the same smooth feel and touch as original screen or even come close? I've never use one since the days of iPhone 3  till X now.
*
Your screen didnt collect micro scratches a? Standard glass screen protector has oleophobic coating which will make it feel like the original screen

Think I read somewhere that these ikea lamp/wireless chargers are low powered ones. Apparently it'll charge your x very slowly and it'll just keep your battery warmer for a longer period of time. In other words, it may look nice and convenient but it may not be that good for your phone battery in the long run, especially in hot climates like ours.

But having said that, since battery replacement only costs RM129 nowadays....

Try battery replacement is RM129 equal to exchange rate of 4.45. If you use the same rate for iPhone, it should be RM5090 for 256gb. Hope got revision to the pricing soon based on Malaysia’s uptrend of RM.
