So I got an iPhone X recently and looking to rectify the measly 5W adapter situation. I do not want to get into fast charging because I dont really want to spend that much money on a cable and an adapter. But I'd still like to get the maximum juice without fast charging. People recommend the 12W iPad charger which delivers power through 5V/2.4A if I'm not mistaken. I'd have gotten that except I want a charger with more than 1 USB port. So I got to doing some research and found this.
https://www.unipro.my/Aukey/aukey-pa-u36-4-...-charging-black
Its a 40W 8A charger. With that power I think it will deliver the full 5V/2.4A even if two phones were connected at the same time.
But then I came across this.

This massive guy is a 50W 10A 8 port charger. The thing that caught my attention was that it will deliver 6.5-9V/2A & 9-12V/1.5A. So I wanted to know what is the limit of the power that a regular apple USB to lightning cable will handle? And will the iPhone X charge at 9V/2A or 12V/1.5A?

You get what you pay for.

I have a 2 port 2.4A LDNIO charger and a 3 port 2.4A Aukey charger. The Aukey's charging performance is more consistent and the product itself is physically more solid.

30W 3 port (what I have) = Lazada Link

40W 4 port model = Lazada Link

Vertu is a joke lol...not only the price tag, the device itself is a failure....

1 of their selling point was their concierge service... basically a physical "Siri" but now the company is gone, ppl are left with an outdated phone with some expensive rocks on them...

If u don’t mind, u may give Apple a call, they have the answer.
I think most of us are using IPad or IPhone original charger as some of us (maybe) no confident on 3rd party charger

Oh that's nice. I didnt know they had a 3 port version. Do you know if anyone has a 3-pin variant on either one?

Well, they better get their 'shit' right. Other brands are coming up fast.
*
You're right, but they also have their own legion of fans so I don't see how they will feel threatened by the other brands just yet.

I read somewhere that not all third party QC chargers are supported by the new iPhones, so best ask the seller or someone else with the said chargers just to be safe.

I go for normal 5V/2.4A (i.e. 12W) chargers instead of Qualcomm Quick Charge or other proprietary fast charging power blocks.

For aukey chargers, that means those with green holes instead of orange ones smile.gif

Ya I was tempted to pull the trigger on an Aukey one but read the Q&A below and the seller replied to someone that certain models are not supported by iPhones.

Its all good. Not looking for fast charging. Just normal charging to the max which seems to be 5V/2.4A

At IKEA Australia, they have some nice looking wireless charging lamps. Wondering when Malaysia will bring them in instead of their current not so nice looking ones.

Would have bought the lamp but needing to use a universal adaptor for the Aus plug is quite troublesome.

I remember I saw this kind of lamp once few years back when I was renovating my house. But when I try to look for them recently after I got my X, I don't see IKEA MY carrying anymore. Maybe no market....no one actually needed it. But since iPhone now supporting wireless charging...I think it would be a smart move for them to bring them back in. I will definitely get one to put on my bedside (I know this is a desk lamp).... thumbup.gif

No worries there, buddy. I've been on an ip6 for 2 years now (work phone) so I'm well prepared.

I don't need the full Apple 'seamless user' experience so am still keeping my stuff in my Google account. iCloud's only for phone and appdata backups.

No issues going back to Android if I have to, maybe one day when an iphone costs 10K ha ha.
*
If it hit that price, count me in lo.
I go back to my google account and 3 years of android experience.

Ya, exactly. They just give you the illusion that there's less bloatware but the truth is a lot of hidden stuffs going on in the background. When I turned off data and WiFi on my S8 and S8+ previously, it still drains 5-6% overnight. Can't explain it. Ha ha.
*
Look at the bright side, at least u don’t have to root or go to app Mgmt to delete/disable apps. That really reminds me of windows control panel 😅
Worst part is need to keep repeating disable bloatware every time there are updates from Sammy. ‘Good’ old days of slave to the phone.

Anyone experiencing GPS issue? My X seems like having some GPS issue. Can get signal all the time no Matter I used Waze, Google Maps or Apple Maps. Called Apple Care, they did a dianogsis on the line and say my GPS hardware seems fine. Asked me to restore my phone and tried again. If still not working, call them back and it could be some hardware issue tha can’t detect.

Will do the restore tonight and see...
