Hi guys .. I’m thinking of upgrading my rim n tyre
Rim : 18” front 8j ET 38
              Behind 9j ET38
Tyre :225/45/18

1)Just wondering if anyone using such spec experienced loss of power or feeling heavy ?

2)But if I going ahead with this spec is ther anything I can change to make my rides smoother?
Any idea guys 😉

After using the car for 2 years (80,000km), the damage so far.

Essential:

Mitsubishi Fully Syn 5w40 Minyak + Oil filter + Labour (8 times) = RM 1,200
Viking 18' Donuts x 4 pcs = RM 1,150
Century car battery = RM 300
Ori Aircon blower + DIY = RM 380
CVT filter set + Jepun DiaQueen J1 oil + labour = RM 1,000 (Taobao china filter set)
Alternator belt + tensioner + idle pulley set + labour = RM 400 (Taobao china set. Last for 10 months only)
New mitsuboshi alternator belt = RM 160
New ori tensioner + labour = RM 420
New ori alternator over running pulley + labour = RM 430

Non essential (But force to change)

GAP hi-lo hard soft absorber with bracket + misc = RM 3,500

Total damage = RM 9,020 unsure.gif

Out of this $9020, $4,430 (items in red font) should have been avoided if (a) knowledgeable technician is available, (b) buy only ori parts

Hi Guys,

I'm going to check out this 2011 Manual Inspilala clocked at 70,000 KM.

Just wondering, other than the famed Master clutch cylinder issue, is there anything i should be aware of?

Tqvm.

Long story short

Left rear toktok sound

Workshop A checking and suspect the rear disc brake harness is loosen. Repaired. Same old shit.

Complaint to A again, this time he suspect the absorber.

Get workshop B (so call absorber specialist) advise. He open up the adjustable, check and assemble back. The adjustable absorber terus mati. But B die2 argue the parts sdh sampai hujung hayat.

Since the spoiled absorber making hell lot of noise, get a new set at GAP. The GAP technician inform the bushing of stabalizer bar dah kapuk. Kononnya this produce the tok3

Buy bushing 40 ringgit.

Too bad..but since u are into modding, that's the price you need to pay

If stock absorbers from Proton, maybe less than rm1k for all 4.

Next time u may want To service instead of replacing your adjustable

Damn... i think i should start anticipating it to fail. Probably my aggressive driving made the parts level up. lol

Joke aside, normally how long this wear and tear cylinder part can last before it requires replacement? Tqvm
