Anyone got any experience swapping 1.8mt to a 4b12 engine?
Can I use back all the same parts? or is there alot of other mods required?

Like do I have to change ECU, throttle body, exhaust, engine mount, etc?
*
Oh yeah I just remembered, the workshop I fixed my gearbox also offers engine conversion from chop cars. One of which is upgrade to 2.4, but keeping the same engine serial.

4b12 find a complete one, I think ECU needs to change but not sure. one of forumer here Xabi Alonso just recently changed to 4b12. another forumer also changed to 4b12, Mugi.

engine mounts all no need to change including the exhaust, but if you planning to get it tune, then need to go 2.5inch all the way.

It came with the car, so I presume the previous owner installed/changed it.

TL;DR, I have no idea sweat.gif

HAHAHAHAHHA
no wonder u fried the fuse....

dude.. lesson is .. never trust the color.. different manufacturer might use different color ... unless aftermarket stuff.. ur reverse cam looks like a halfcut unit to me.

4 lines.. pretty straight forward (if u know how it works)

1. Power to camera (+ 12v)
2. Ground to camera ( - terminal @ car body )
3. Video signal
4. Video signal shield.

i would take the camera and wire using a power supply at home.. to a TV to get the output first.. before i plug to the car.
u must have shorted the REVERSE light power to ground which fried the fuse.

-- added ---
by the way ... ur car have spare fuse ... 5A, 10A, 20A ... the fuse box in engine bay .. dont even need to buy a spare one pun .. lolz...
and if u look at the Behind glovebox fuse box... the bottom part the 7.5A fuse can use.. that fuse is not use (its for side mirror heater) which obviously our car dont have.
From ur halfcut unit .. i will bet .. RED as 12v .. black as ground (negative terminal) .. and yellow is the video signal .

Hi Bro, i also plan do the same thing too to remain back the wiring..
testing the wire. only able to know 12V+ is which.. the remaining 3 wire not so sure..
got idea which is which ah.. if anyone done before..

Hi all,

Just to check with you guys.. Can we actually open the car door with key when it is locked? I just found out that I cant open the door with the car key once it is locked using the remote control.

I thought we should be able to do so.. Just in case the car battery is gone or the car remote control is faulty. So that we still be able to open the door manually with key when those situation arise... Otherwise, it does not serve any purpose to have the key hole in the door then...

Appreciate if you guys can confirm so that I can get the mechanic to look into this if necessary..

Thanks.

Hi guys,

I'm looking at getting an Inspira 2.0 executive CVT, car has clocked only 95k KM and driving it is pretty ok, aside from the engine being super loud when I push it a little. CVT manual mode is snappy and responds immediately to the paddle shift input. But when I'm idling at a stop sign / traffic light the engine RPM is very low at 500~550rpm and it feels a bit shaky

and the engine look like its vibrating quite a lot when i pop open the hood

its only 41k OTR tho with a full lancer bodykit

is there anything that I need to be extra careful about before i actually sign the papers and bring the car home?

is it one of those 'susah nak jaga' kind of car? (im coming from an E46 325i, but its starting to consume a lot of oil, engine and vanos prolly needs an overhaul soon so im trying to cut loss)

Just tested the new OEM camera that bought from Lazada.
Based on your image and referring to my wiring.

1. Red wire: Video signal Detection
2. Blue wire: Video signal Shield Ground
3. Black wire: Ground
4. Yellow wire: 12V Voltage

My 2011 Saga legit only 85+K without any speedometer modifying so I can believe your 2015 Saga only did 77K

That being said, my Inspila odo was 90K, but when i contacted Proton, service record shows it was already 120K++ doh.gif

I feel personally attacked as an E46 owner.

But thanks a lot for the info, the E46 has been in the workshop for several times for the past couple of months, and the total repair bills had already raked up to 20k...
So I decided to jump from a very deep money pit into a hopefully not as deep money pit.
