Anybody here upgrading iPhone X from previous Plus version (6, 6S, 7 or 8 +)...?

I'm using 7 Plus now, really tempting to buy iPhone X, but the only thing is i'm afraid cannot adapt to smaller screen because i have used Plus version for a fews years back until now...

My thoughts exactly, ha ha. The iPhone 5S was the last small iPhone I used. Then it was the 6 Plus, 6S Plus, the 7 Plus and the 8 Plus. I’ve also been to the shops a few times to fiddle around with the X but can’t quite decide if I would like it on a daily basis. And the price is a factor, because if I don’t like it, I can’t easily sell it off to downgrade coz it’s hard to sell something that expensive second hand... I know I personally may not even buy such an expensive item second hand biggrin.gif

For me a smaller screen is OK as I don’t watch videos on my phone, I prefer to do it on my iPad. I’m more concerned on the battery life, the lack of a battery percentage indicator at the status bar (or what’s left of it) and especially stability of apps running on the X.

Me, upgrading from 7+ to iX. The overall form factor is definitely smaller, and if u used to 7+ size, u will feel the size of iX is smaller and not nice to hold on hand (because im used to 7+ sizes, its wider).
Also, in terms of apps etc like messenger/wechat, the sticker screen can only fit 4 column of sticker per row instead of 5 on 7+ (bummer).
Besides, the phone get hot easily even on normal usage idk why confused.gif

After I update a few apps on the app store, the next day the usage and standby on time on the battery stat would be the same. I have to hard reset to reset the battery stat. Happened to me a couple of times after updating my apps, anyone else encountered this problem? I hope they fix this in the next ios update.

Bring out your iPhone X from your left pocket, take out a Note 8 from your right pocket, put them beside each other, tell him boss, I have both.

Actually, comparing phones is futile and childish. Everyone has different needs and preferences.

100% agreed. In terms of bang for the buck the note 8 probably has the most features for its price. It was the most obvious choice for me on paper, after using 3 generations of galaxy notes. But 2 years of using my work iphone 6 has piqued my interest in iOS so here I am now with an iphone X ha ha.. no regrets wink.gif

It’s the little touches that get me. Like being able to activate personal hotspot on the ip6 (maxis with big data plan) from the ipx and vice versa. Or the seamless bluetooth experience in iOS compared to Android..

tell him IF he pays you for a note 8, you will use it lol.. by the end of the day, you are using your own money to buy, why he bother so much...

yes, ipx using Samsung OLED, but ipx display color is much better than note 8
i have note 8 and ipx, i prefer ipx color over note 8, not to say note 8 is not good, just that personal preference over the display color

I kept telling myself that no, i'm not getting an iphone x, my iphone 7+ is great I don't need an upgrade.

Then I made the mistake of going in the store to kaypo, then i was like

Honestly speaking though, the screen doesn't feel that much smaller. The thing i noticed after using the iphone X after a few weeks then going back to the 7+ was that...

Gawd the 7+ screen resolution is so low... it actually looks blurry sweat.gif

I'm coming from 7+ although the screen size might feel smaller, but after you had used to it, it actually not much difference, my wife is still using 7+ sometimes when I used her phone, I doesn't feel like it is bigger than my iX.. but my wife don't want to change it is due to Screen Size dilemma like you..
