If can for usage in long term try to buy 4GB/64GB , latest Redmi 5 already had 4/32GB selling in AliExpress.

Confirm Redmi 5/5 plus support 4G+

For those who cant wait for global rom, someone just ported Mi A1 rom over. Still on Nougat though. And only bugs on fingerprint scanner, brightness and camera not working. Try it if you want, if dont like can always roll back to china stable rom.

Could you verify is it Band 3+7 CA or Band 7+38 or Band 3+38 CA is that? Starhub had 3 band deployed but Band 38 is available in downtown core and nearby area only.

How to verify?
Can't even tell.. I knew my data running damn slower than normal 4G speed.

Normal 4G speed was 70-80 Mbps vs 4G+ just 10-20 Mbps.

Use Network Signal Guru if you are rooted. Otherwise just forget it. I didn't see any mention of 4G+ capability on Xiaomi's website so I'm quite curious which band it's connected to.

exactly same like me. that is y i don't like plain android... MIUI for me is perfect except for cant resize image when attach to email.. like samsung TW ui, it will ask picture size to use for attachment

I thought the so called "Global ROM" on MIUI forum was from official developer?
And when they took that long to release a buggy ROM, that's what make me wonder.
Did you mean there is another developer group that handle the official Global ROM besides the folks at MIUI forum?
I'm quite confuse.



Is this related to the speed the phone can download, process and display the content, rather than the RAM issue? From what I see in the videos, it is like Redmi 5 Plus takes longer time to draw the page content, thus, you were unable to scroll as fast as Mi Mix 2? Anyway, I'm just guessing.
