More brighter and colours quite rich.. so far no complaining at all.

Yes.. I have been using Xioami phone a couple of years already since RN3.. 4G/LTE not an issue but LTE-A/4G+ wont get here unless travel to overseas like Aus, Sing, HK..

Miui is just too heavy for 3gb ram and midrange cpu. My RN4 with custom rom can go fast as your Mix 2. I believe your Mi A1 also that fast?

I think not much impact on battery life. Battery life is similar or slightly better in Miui compared to other rom.

On custom rom, my phone can only hold 4-5 apps even though ram consumption is 2.1gb out of 2.8gb. not sure why but i can live with that.

Even if Honor 7X win, I'll still go for Redmi because of MIUI vs. don't know what named UI

Below RM1K fullview display so far is Redmi 5 Plus is da best.... Honor 7X same display with Nova 2i.....lots ppl complaint about Nova2i display 

for me Redmi 5 plus display is better than RN4 , Mi a1....

I think GPS issue in MIUI are only affect certain model?
If you look at Mi A1 thread, there are still people complaining GPS (Waze) problem. 
I mean if MIUI compare to Huawei's UI here, MIUI still a better choice and wider support than Huawei.
I am half-half feeling with MIUI vs. Android One. While pure Android sounds good and light, but there are still certain functions in MIUI are really useful. 

So far I had never faced on Waze issue.
As usual after next update will be solved.
Miui = iSO has built in icloud, they both platform is quite similar.
Once you login on mi account and restore from your previous backup for all apps, notes, contacts, gallery will be automatically install and update to your new mi phone as well.

Android One all photo can only save in Google Photo.
Contacts can backup from Gmail account as well.
But previous Apps cannot backup , you may need install from google play.
Whoever use Android stock will be a bit slower backup than the Miui UI.
I can switch mi phone anytime as I can.
One mi could account for shares all mi phone at same time.
Such as WhatsApp like dual apps is very important to me, can easily active for dual SIM card with dual WhatsApp at same time.
In previous my data sharing to sent through by WhatsApp , now I able to send with Mi Drop, this is great App., Fast and easier for transfer data to all mi phones.

GPS under data, if Telco line not strong enough , you may turn to airmode and switch back again, sometime no even got data at all.
Mean loading all the time.
Malaysia is wider , I do believe not all Telco can fully support for each corners.
