Go purchase one, and try to claim here in Malaysia.

Actually it’s possible, I have checked with Apple and they said can bring back to any Apple authorised service provider. So if they do not honor the warranty, it’ll just be slightly more hassle to contact Apple first and Apple would most likely provide a letter.

Most likely due to any issues Malaysia will still send back defective units to Singapore.

The point is in the midst of correcting him, you yourself gave misleading information about AppleCare for iPhones only available for purchase in countries that has official stores. Which is totally and completely false.

Well that is mostly on Apple Reps 2nd level discretion.

Lots of people with SG applecare+ not able to use the extra protection here, not just AASP, but also after talk to apple careline.

The funny thing is, where applecare+ does sell (whether in random countries, or countries with apple store) does not as important as believing purchasing applecare+ automatically provides u global extra warranty.
