i'd say you need only one .. nude mod rclxms.gif there's a lot, i can't remember what but this should be in your list

1) one that make sneak attack really worth the while
2) one that rescale level scaling
3) one that give ability to skip that tedious tutorial chapter
4) .. did i mention one that gives bigger boobs to those poor girl in tamriel

uh, shjt .. now you know, oblivion is far from finish

there's one mod team trying to recreate fallout world but it ended as Beth copy their idea and come out with Fallout 3

The sad thing is Diablo 3 is more faithful to its predecessor compare to Fallout 3.

Plus, one of the original Fallout team member is now working in Blizzard, as the lead world designer of DIABLO 3, who shared his though about isometric angle.

Here somes juicy threat about Fallout 3:

Fallout 3 is Oblivion 2, with bullet time, I mean V.A.T.S

Don't buy the hype

Here are some cool ones:

Realistic Physics and Force Package (enables the player character to react realistically to physical blows and spell damage as well as the ability to lift dead bodies up)

Natural Environments

Better Water (enables water refraction...no more opaque water surfaces!!)

BT mod (major UI overhaul)

Simple Compass (less bulky compass)

Color Map

Colored Health

Actors In Charge (enables player character and NPC to emote and pose)

Danis13 Beauty Faces (higher resolution texture for faces)

Gorier Blood

Illumination Within (buildings light up at night)

Ren's Beauty Plus Soya Hair package

Francesco's Leveled Creatures (disables level scaling system)

Better Nightsky (cool nebula and planets)

BSA patcher (run this program once you've installed every mod so that they work properly)

You can get download them from - http://www.tesnexus.com/

Oh ya...there's another interesting mod known as Qarl's Texture Pack 3. It's a 1.7 GB mod which increases the resolution of meshes and textures in Oblivion by FOUR times the resolution of vanilla Oblivion. This mod makes everything in the game look much much more photo realistic (Oblivion looks a little bit like Crysis after applying this mod haha) but has a severe impact on performance. Go download it if you're crazy enough...

Wonder where are all the screenshots showcasing the interaction system? So far I've seen only 2 or 3...

There is only i element from oblivion that i hope will never be delivered to fallout 3 ;
The stupid levelling system (7 attributes).
I mean i must sacrifice a level (which i can increase + 5) just because i don't need it too much (ie : personality).
Its like take it or leave it kind of situation. vmad.gif vmad.gif vmad.gif
Why can't we just increase all the attributes at once (no problem here) icon_rolleyes.gif

no, attribute (stat) should stay as it were when we first start the game (allowable for special occasion like supercomputer enhancement) .. just give player the ability to improve their skills and perk

but nevermind .. who need PE 8 when you can aim just like when you're playing DOOM yawn.gif

Good read. Totally agree on Leonard Boyarsky's view on how a sequel can be made with advancement but not totally changing the proven core gameplay.
I think the mentality of no good 3D gfx & no first person view means old tech & not cool is ruining the whole game industry.

My favourite classic adventure games like day of tentacle, kyrandia & etc already totally eliminated by these mindless fps shooter.
Now RPGs are getting polluted each passing days sad.gif

I think the VATS is poorly implemented and will probably be irrelevant in this game. Why bother incorporating the feature into a First Person Shooter. As if we need a system to help us aim.

VATS was clearly designed for a turn-based isometric gameplay and not real time. In real time FPS, we don't need a system to help us aim, we do it ourselves since there's something called the crosshair...

Most people would probably just blast their way past the game's AI rather than going through the tedious task of pausing the game using the system, aim at a specific limb, fire, and watch a repetitive death sequence.

half-life/counterstrike for emerging FPS games

Well fallout 3 was also developed for consoles (there is where Vats comes in).
Its quite puzzling why bethesda fight for the license anyway (after black isle studio liquidated) since its RPG orientated.
F03 now combines a hybrid of First person shooter with role playing game (very few genres out there).
Well if anyone looking to benchmark Fallout 3 with similar game this year it has to be Stalker : Clear sky.
Any takers out there ?

By the way Fallout 3 has become "unbanned" in Australia. They banned it bcos of some drug application (CHEM) in the game.

It's just like the way the ex-Diablo team who left Blizzard and developed Hellgate. Everybody got a an idea how to better a classic.

Man, I used to love RPG and dislike FPS, but Hellgate changed my mind. And the current Stalker made me love FPS.

So yes, Stalker Clear Sky will be the main competition to Fallout 3. Too bad Stalker does not have leveling up and specialisation/character class.

I just "downloaded" Fallout 2 and replayed it. Still good lar. brows.gif

One of Bethesda's biggest mistakes is trying to develop F3 for multiple platforms.

As a result, I'm afraid the PC version will be dumbed down to accommodate consoles which is in reminiscent of Deus Ex: Invisible War...

I don't f**king need to level up to be able to hit targets 100 yards away. In the head. All I need is a good weapon and a scope. That's what Stalker is about. I massacred the army roadblock with a pistol early in the game using some established army-styled tactical movements (run in, bang bang, you're dead, run out and bandage myself, rinse and repeat). I massacred the whole army base with just the Viper (and a lot of bullets) in the same style before I even got to Agropom.

And just imagine if I had to level-up to be able to aim or deal reasonable damage. I'll still be paying shitloads of money to the army guys just to get through the roadblock.

That's the reason why I love the concept of STALKER more than F3 - a Fantastically F*cked-up Flop.

Ah, but can you offer sexual favors for free passage instead of shooting them up? That my friends is where Fallout 3 will win.
