QUOTE(AceCombat @ Jul 13 2007, 12:19 AM) 200nm and 130nm.... LOL, back to Pentium 4 days huh? Me, if I'm going to go Quadie, I'm gonna wait for the 45nm versions (ala Penryn and gang) before I make my decision as I suspect it's gonna be running much cooler (95W TDP for Q6600 is a hint) since I noticed the G0 stepping C2D's (Those of E6X50 series) are running at MUCH lower VCore. In fact IINM, booting voltage is around 1.0v stock and FCG managed to OC a E6550 at 7*550Mhz using 1.36v onlypity me,but syok la,think to buy one X6800 to play and keep this QX6700.... bro almostthere, this time,i'm really an intel certified extreme's eggs boiler @lexus65,wait for my screenie. |

QUOTE(AceCombat @ Jul 13 2007, 04:36 PM) wah....new generation proc so dun worry bout the price la. AFAIK, it'll be around how much we're paying for post 22nd July. The question is around August when DFi launches their P35 and X38 mobo's. I know X38 will be for Lan Party but will the P35 be our Dark's worthy successor?anyway,me still student,no money to go for 45nm liao....going to be giggolo if i really wan to... |

QUOTE(E-J@1 @ Jul 14 2007, 02:16 PM) yesterday my place black out --> my pc turned off --> then wanna turn it on cannot --> BIOS post this message: "Award Boot Block BIOS V.1/0 Copyright(C) 2000, Award Software,Inc BIOS ROM checksum error Detecting floppy drive A media Drive A error . It ask for the drive A because it asks for a floppy drive that has the bios file. Put the bios 0424 that you've downloaded from DFI website, then put the bios file into the floppy drive. Boot your pc, then the system will detect the bios file in the floppy drive automatically then it will flash itself. Once the flashing done, then your system is back like a new board. |

There's a possibility that the bios is still corrupted. Corrupted bios also may lead to fail to load windows. Try updating the bios first, then try to load the windows back, if that fails, then you may continue with reformating. All in all, it's up to you to make your choice, i am just giving advise. Wait, you're updating your motherboard bios in windows?damn, i just read on how to update the BIOS, last time i updated the BIOS (ver. Yea i know someone will say, "i've flashed bios in windows many times oso nothing happen?" yes, you're lucky. But seriously, if you love your motherboard, flash bios in dos. Not windows. Flashing bios in windows is prone to many error, since in windows, there's always data transferred in each second. |
