How to do a soft reset of the Bios ?
I tried connecting all molex except the hard disk and CD rom. No floppy is being used here. And still will not boot.
I think it has to do with the timing of soft ps on line.
Press INSERT during boot to clear CMOS still will not boot.
Don't know why ? This NMB Server PSU is very solid build. just like the INTEL Server PSU.

Model : GM460WTXW01SSV (Power on but will not boot) Currently using Intel PSU 550 Watts true power (works no problem) Model : DPS-550BB A Don't understand why even a server class psu cannot power up this baby You mean when u're using Intel PSU 550 Watts, the system will light up, but the NMB Server PSU has the problem with you Infinity? Well, i heard that it's normal for DFI motherboards to be picky, maybe the motherboard doesn't want the NMB psu?

And floppy molex as in plug into the mobo itself. This post has been edited by almostthere: May 21 2007, 11:20 AM

QUOTE(Hyde`fK @ May 21 2007, 11:45 AM) The floppy connector, necessary to plug in? What's it for? Extra stability for your motherboard. I'm using 8800GTX for my infinity. When i didn't plug in the floppy connector, on the side of the PCI-E X1 slot, the system will not boot up. But when i plug in the floppy connector, the system goes well.

QUOTE(almostthere @ May 21 2007, 11:19 AM) soft reset is to unplug 24 pin, jumper CMOS clear jumper 2-3 for a minute and then plug back in. And floppy molex as in plug into the mobo itself. Tried the soft reset when changing the psu. Same problem, still will not boot. What I noticed are:- The INTEL PSU Fan will start up at maximum speed, indicating that the psu must be trying to pump up the amp during start up. While the NMB PSU does not do that. That means this INFINITY requires a very high current to start up. Don't know how many amps for each rails. Added on May 21, 2007, 12:50 pmAnybody tried running TAT (Intel Thermal Analysis Tools) with the new C2D Retail. I don't seems to be able to run this program on both my C2D E6320 and E6600. It gives error message like 'Error enumerating On Demand Clock Modulation support.' Anyone tried it. This post has been edited by chek: May 21 2007, 03:45 PM

server class psu..... well,ur psu should be no problem for ur rig,try to soft reset like bro almostthere said. but for me,i think u better take off the batt and discharge the rest electric on ur mobo, then unplug ur power cord to let it drain 10 minutes, then attach back the batt and fire up with minimal hardwares installed.(this is not soft reset) got any updates? Added on May 21, 2007, 6:59 pmbro, read here, make u not so blur. http://www.bitzenbytes.com/Content-Arcanum-18-1-5.htmlThis post has been edited by AceCombat: May 21 2007, 06:59 PM

Ish, such bad luck this day. Now my board's LAN isn't functionting well. After a restart, Windows prompt me to reinstall ethernet controller, but unable to. A force dirver install will prompt me the device cannot be start, an error occured. Reformat Windows is a no go as well. Wanna ask if Alphamatic got any 1 to 1 exchange for goods that is less than a week old?

500x6 still no go, even with the Enchanced memory settings set to Auto, although I did mess with 2 other settings; the DDR configuration mode (mode 3) and GTL driving strength (mode 2). Hmm, had to reset the CMOS after that. The reset + insert trick doesn't work oso. How long to press, is there any audio clues that it's working ?
Will try more combinations this wekeend la (maybe).

i'm getting ram soon. between team value and team elite. which is recommended? my purpose: OC. elite has spreader (gimmick i guess) and tighter timing but more expensive (30%!).
any batch/chipset to look for team value ram?

If I say get Cellshocks but the ones you get were lousy, who's fault was that? So best to decide based on your gut feeling and comparing what others have done. Not 1, 2 but at least 6-7 users

ermm. i guess buying ram also like buying lottery ticket. but chances are higher i guess. Added on May 23, 2007, 8:02 amcellshock seem very good. capable of running DDR2-1192 (596mhz) / 2.2v / 5-5-5-15!! that for a DDR2-800 ram. http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews.php?/me...2-800_2gb_kit/1This post has been edited by toughnut: May 23 2007, 08:02 AM

You check the review hidden somewhere in XS about how Cellshock test their RAM's then you tabik
