hey got a question i have been trying to search answer to. the galaxy note 8 say it is IP68 water proof.
What about the sim card slot. how does the sim card slot prevent water from going in? Cause I find that they only have a rubber gasket there to protect. if for someone who always take out the sd card to copy stuff in, the rubber gasket is easily spoil or not in place. what do you guys think?

err... why do you want to take out the sdcard? can always plug the phone to pc via usb and copy away... or use apps airdroid can copy via wifi...
It's seem not every note 8 user face this issue n mostly cause by apps installed. S8 series n note fe came out so far so good. 1 week restart phone 1 time it's the way for Android phones user but not everyday it will cause the battery life n quick annoying too. Cheers.
yup, not everyone have the same problem it is depend on the app and setting of individual and maybe luck too
my phone not even need to restart once per week like you i never restart for more one month, just sometime clean the rubbish files created by app (once per few weeks)
Helo guys. I have installed the temper glass on my Note 8 but the sensitivity is reduced and apparent especially during texting. Is there any temper glass that is better and not costing me a bomb?
If you see the comparison video below, you will knew that iPhone 8 plus's video are warmer in colour. So i am curious to know, is it possible with Samsung to achieve the same with some apps? Or something? I knew this can be corrected with Software.
So can any apps or anything to make the video capture to appear warmer?

I guess it's all about probability of wear and tear, and a little bit of luck. The more you take it out and put in, the higher chances the rubber gasket will getting spoilt. There's no exact answer for this.

The last phone I had with an IR was the Note 3, and I hardly used it anyway Anyway it seems that most flagship phones have started to exclude the IR feature.
Yes. Me too. Seldom use. One good day I was trying to use it on my new York air-conditioner. It didn't work. Cause I couldn't find the model. Or is it just my problem?
I love my Note 8. The transition between the apps is seamless. (Of course I came from the antique model Note 3) However, I do find that the keyboard for Note 8 need improve. I always get typo errors.

I remember I couldn’t get it to work with most appliances except for the TV.

If new York shouldn't be a problem for codes.
But the old York I also can use IR only thing need to use daikin code.
My old York was like more than 10 years old
Note edge and H8Pro no problem for both new and old
