Most of the streamyx users in non+unifi coverage, getting 2x speed is dreaming aja lah, leave alone price reduction. What speed we have now, what price we pay now, it will be that forever.

Yes, I need to rent the house near my workplace just for the sake of Unifi. Before this I just going back and forth from my workplace to my parents house. To tell the truth from my father friend who worked in TMPoint, TM in the midst of crisis right now after GE-14. They got lack of funds to further the HSBB2 and SUBB project expansion. So, expect things to be relieve back maybe in 2020.
My patient has reached the limit. If I'm staying at my parents house forever, I'll get nothing. That's why I need to move out and rent the house where there are coverage available.

SUBB is something I feel not really achieved, as far as I see in my place, only houses by the main roadside are covered but not even extend to any secondary road even they are connected to, not even a pole. SUBB is actually a RSBB, the road side broadband.

Are you sure become 16mbps? I never heard this before.

If go to TM Point, that's the way to terminate all the plan and package.
The HyppTV pack is useless, unless got free Fox channels.

maximum for streamyx is 8bmps

16mbps is an assuming 2x speed upgrade for the 8mbps streamyx users. There were article related to the statement by TM tops recently.

at least that's what i learned - the hard way.

i found out that i've been paying for hypptv, although i'm not using it.

heck, i didn't even gotten the hypptv STB during my years with streamyx.

after doing my own research in this forum, i found out that i'm paying unnecessary stuff.

my old streamyx registration was called Streamyx 8.0M Blockbuster Combo HyppTV Bundle RM160.

after i found out that i'm 'donating' unnecessarily to TM, i went to TM Point & asked them
if i can cancel my hypptv subscription and get RM20 discount.

the staff checked, and said well yes - i was already out of contract and they give me -RM20 discount
every month afterwards till i upgraded to unifi.

RM160 - RM20 = RM140.

just be prepared to return, but i think they just downgrade the subscription which means that you can still view some channels.

as for me, the funny thing is - i went to TM Point (UTC one) to get the discount,
and since I did not even take my STB in the 1st place, i was given a new one at that time.

it's still unused now.

They called streamyx as pre-unifi, but in TM's website no pre-unifi except as broadband.
I got a feel that most of streamyx users that is look eligible, they will be offered wireless broadband instead of the fixed line. The same store goes to those applying for Unifi Basic unless all these area covered by unifi network.

Bruddah... my house 4mbps free upgrade to 8mbps last time, and every month pay rm148 just like b4 use 4mbps eh time
but i checked the bill and it include rm20 inside for hypptv complimentary pack. actually saw it long time ago but provided that overall total is price of 4mbps so i just no care abt it
