on another hand brand new Mercedes engine caught fire on Racing Point, signs of reliability/design flaw, I reckon Mercedes could turn down power before investigation report out.

Mercedes usually sandbag a lot during fp 1 and 2.

hehe, when engine not enough power and losing 1 sec on straights, he has to drive over limits. Hammy has champion mindset so he's just not happy with Ferrari's domination so over-extracting his car, lol

He was braking on the more slippery curb to try widen the corner as much better as possible. This is similar to Senna in 91-92 when Williams were getting faster, like in Mexico where he tried to take a sweeper at 1 gear higher, ended up side down in the gravel!

Seeing how this year has gone so far for them it wouldn’t surprise me if they dropped this race. But i wanna see CL win since he was robbed of it in Bahrain early this year and also he’s been consistently faster than SV this weekend.

You guys still reluctant to bet Ferrari winning this race?
I'm already predicting next year Ferrari sweeping most races with minimum 1 sec laptime margin after they sorted their chassis aerodynamic issue. With such great engine horsepower advantage repeat of Mercedes's 2014 should be achievable.

For first time since Hakkinen's McLaren era I see Mercedes engine down so much speed to opponent. Their engine always on top if not just slightly off the most powerful. This season Ferrari's engine really the benchmark for V6 hybrid era.
