Seems like Kimi himself did not feel comfortable getting handed down the position back. I think despite not popular decision, it's still the right decision to demote Max from the podium because as per the rule you cannot gain an advantage by going all 4 wheels outside of the track which unfortunately he did when he overtook Kimi.
As for Max fan, yeah I don't think there's any hardcore Max fan here who is actively participating with us in the F1 thread. I like Max but I'm not a true fan of any current driver actually, just a fan of F1 in general.
I think everyone was confused at the moment
I also agree penalty is justified, rules are rules. It may seem selective but everything is judged case by case basis. In max's case it was clearcut and decision was swift that's why it was sensationalised. Besides it was near the finish line.

Same with me... I generally enjoyed F1 till Vettel dominates the sport... until My wife bought me a F1 Malaysia GP as a present. Now my wife like F1 more than me... Haha... BTW the penalties is justified... I know why max complaining about it but I don't understand why Niki Lauda, one of the great legends complaint about it.
Budget cap plus development freeze kill the sport. Enough said. Very hard to catch up. Ferrari used to test everyday when they were down and under. All that were gone. Now it's more of a lottery.
This year confirmed 1 thing, Ferrari was superior than Mercedes but Hamilton is there to protect the reputation for Mercedes. See how Hamilton talked about he analyze Vettel's hard on cornering will make the tyres worse and gave him opportunity proved that... If Hamilton was to drive Ferrari, he might runaway with the championship already (Baku and Singapore incident), haha.
I'm surprised that he can turn after full braking at the end of the straight. I find it hard to turn in unless I released the brakes right before turning.

So title fight finally over, hope next few races will be just free for all to fight.
Great performance by Max, this kid is really special and ballsy off the starting grid. RB really needs to make sure they have a good car next year or else he will be restless looking for another team which can win titles. I think Ferrari should buy him out to replace Kimi.

Hamilton must be enjoying the last championship trophy for Mercedes team... Everyone saying next year would be Verstappen vs Vettel races since now Renault and Ferrari has catch up on PU power deficit. Bye bye domination from Mercedes.
We'll see what happens with the development in the off season. Everyone also said Ferrari caught up with the Mercs earlier this year but look how they fell flat at some power tracks. I dont believe Ferrari and Renault have caught up yet in terms of power. It's just that their aero packages are probably better than the Mercs
One point to note is that McLaren chassis do look good now. Notice that in the twisty bits, Alonso was even able to pull away a bit from Ham! Ham only caught up and finally passed him due to the long straights, otherwise he would have had a tougher time or even not able to pass if McLaren just had a bit more top speed.

Their chassis good for current Honda speed, with higher speed then it might be different story, maybe rattle here and there then understeer etc.. But Renault not reliable also, so many PU failure this season. McLaren switching to it might not fare better than current situation...

But at least Renault can still provide more power and Renault powered cars have won a few races this year. I think McLaren cannot do worse than now.
today is the 9th anniversary of the most dramatic Brazilian GP ever seen
... and I still remember almost threw the bottle 2 the screen when Hamilton overtake last corner of last lap
aaaaa good old times mang
Hahaha yeah, that was a nail bitter! I was actually supporting Ham instead of Massa back then coz I just think Massa is not WDC material and I wanted the new fresh young blood to win.
