Seems 2nd drivers from Ferrari and Merc not able to extract the car to maximum for a win. Only Hamilton and Vettel can consistently doing that. Contrast to what outside ppl believe it's the car that gifted Hamilton win this season..

Well that's why both of them are 4 times champ! Kimi on his day back in the mid 2000s was very fast and should be able to match Seb & Ham at least in the dry but now no more. Bottas, well he still have to prove himself as this is still his first year in a top team and his results are actually pretty good in the first half but he kinda drop the ball in the second half. Hopefully next year he will be better and more consistent.
Car wise, F1 has always been car dominant first and racer 2nd, so whoever wins the title surely must have had the best if not one of the best cars for that year.

I applaud Alonso for his day of winning world championship with less competitive Renault. He managed to keep Schumacher and Raikkonen behind with his nice defensive drive. Many occasion Schumacher and Raikkonen not able to overtake him with faster car

Yup Alonso was excellent when he won those 2 titles. He was like an underdog who beat all the odds to win. However the Renault back then was at least a good chassis too and at least more reliable especially compared to the fast but fragile McLaren of Kimi that time.
so final race coming this weekend, can Hamilton beat the superior Vettel-Ferrari package? Since championship race is over, both race wheel-to-wheel, without fear of accident and engine failure. Haha.

nowadays still can race wheel to wheel?? I thought they will be penalized

Got, I remembered Belgium GP there's a brief moment of Vettel vs Hamilton wheel to wheel. Ferrari was clearly faster but Hamilton did some brave move to close back the door.
What a boring final race! Such a contrast with the earlier Australian Supercars climax where Scotty screwed up his race with 3 penalties and gave the title to Jamie!
And the F1 logo, the old one was way much better leh!
