Why do you guys insist on using Artic Silver, when others will suffice?
e.g. Artic Ceramique which is cheaper and in at least one test done by some hardware site (either tom's or anandtech, someone posted the link in the hardware section last time), better than AS.

guys, i'm asking on behalf of my friend. below is his 360 chronology:

3rod -> x-clamp then all goes fine again -> few weeks/mths later (now), his 360 can load game but when in-game it will hang.

so, what is the problem with his console? his console is unmodded.

after my japanese 360 got striked again with another 3rod after the xclamp fix... i totally lost hope already

my advise..u can always ask rezalid to re-do the x-clamp process with the fan modding...or PM him for an advise.....as he has managed to fixed several x360 especially the 1 owned by edoras with unstoppable disease of 3rod....over and over again...

Thats because I refused to give up. The pain and heartache was unbelievable but i was just plain stubborn.

I did learn a few things though...I learnt how to retune my motherboard from Reza which helps a lot.

Also shifting my 360 to my air cond room helps a lot. In fact its now running naked (no cover) so its super cool and guess what no 3 ROD no hanging too (Touch wood).

i'm not sure. but as long as the design is the same, the 3rod status will be the same.

Elite is the same, they only added an extra heatsink for passive cooling thus 3-rod would not be surprising. And many cases already got people complaining their elite hit by 3-rod, even the halo-3 edition xbox 360 is the same.

Do Nos Modding, its the best out there, did a 12 hour marathon on HALO3 in a non- aircond environment, my x-box still runs cold. Thanks again to Bro Rezalida. You the man dude.

Well i will say this once again, if your xbox360 'touch wood' is hit by 3-rod, try to send your 360 to Bro Reza and let him work his magic hands on your xbox 360 and see what happens.

buy a fan 240v or 12v... put behind ur 360 cover it with some cardboard or something else .( ur fan is suck air not blow inside )

thats what i do with my last core and my elite now running more cooler just like a nos mod

from my expectation on xbox 360 live span (those people without playing everyday) roughly 6 months la~
