what we know about thier last batch . mostly all died after 6 months of usage (rare playing it)

elite was manufacture on July with the extra heatsink and the glue to stop the flexing. (Theoretically )

Hello n00b here. n00b but not a fanboy. But I have to agree 360 is sexier in black. mine, elite will come next week. hope it will last forever. or at least til i got enough money to buy a "stable" ps3.

Anyway, if, only a big IF my elite got the 3rod (hope not *touch wood*), is it possible for me to send mine to one of you that can revive it? im in bintulu sarawak now.

I want to get a Xbox 360 but I worry about 3ROD, so I plan to some survey on the Xbox 360 lifespam. Can some Xbox 360 owner share with me, from the 1st day you got your Xbox 360 till it striked by 3ROD. How long was it? few months, a year or a year +. At lease I can start couting my ROI.

If I continue a process like playing for 2 hours, then rest for 2 hours then continue playing another 2 hours with in a day. What are the possibility that I still will get strike by 3ROD? I heard that 3ROD appear due to over heat the GPU.

1 hour, 1 day, 1 month, 1 year or 1 decade. Its all random. Im using mine for 1+ years and still no problem.

Me also more than 6 month already and still good! It depend to your luck.

i had mine since the release of xbox 360 and i never got 3ROD before

well again... touch wood my fren...
you will never know... i think till now all the ppl post b4 me never hit b4...
now... including me also...
still running strong for 10 months ++ already...

Because we have a small community, when someone hits by 3rod, it spreads like wildfire.

Anyway, its all about the ventilation, keep it well ventilated and ur 360 will end up as a happy console.

10 months old and still kickin' alive~ and i don't give it a damn about play-rest-play-rest or point a blowfan to it, sometimes i only off the thing because i need to sleep. If it gonna die, it'll die, and when it is dead, it's time to buy new one.

When it dies , just claim warranty . Easy . Buy from reputable store for guaranteed warranty .

give u 24hrs before 3rod visit ur machine

Seriously, just play as much as u can & don't worry about over heating, coz it won't!

I play mine for hours in certain days & without aircond.
