QUOTE(asiatrader98 @ Aug 27 2018, 11:02 AM) according to someone from BT thread, u can ask to transfer repayment to another mbb card that unhave or plan to keep. otherwise, u have to settle the balance subject to penalty fees before cancelling. |

QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Aug 16 2018, 01:08 PM) Apply M2 Platinum and FCB VS at the same time. From my experience, your CL will be automatically revised by Maybank. Hi Clarence. Unfortunately, I didn't do as what you've suggested and went for the bank staff's suggestion instead. My bad.. https://www.maybank2u.com.my/iwov-resources...ardApp_Form.pdf Once approved, cancel the M2 Gold. P/S: SST should be implemented from 1/9/18, so if the new CCs are issued after 1/9, you may have to pay SST. Have also checked through this and previous m2c threads, like most banks, they are just not consistent in their criteria when it comes to CC related applications. I had no problem getting a new CC from PBB (two weeks ago and it's my first CC with PBB) with a way higher limit than the one given by MBB. Apparently PBB is also quite strict with the CC applications. Also had ask for a temporary increase CC limit from cimb and no problems as well. This is despite MBB is my salary crediting bank. Just very unhappy actually. I know my DSR would be high (even before applying for the PBB new CC and the CIMB temporary CC limit increase; i am actually doing all this because i wish to utilise the MBB 0% BT plan) as I have maxed out asb loans + housing loan (with PBB), but the fact that I can get the recent applications with PBB/CIMB approved without any problem/appeals just tells me they don't really think out of the box at times. I always settle all loans on time and pay off my CC statement balances and my guess is the CC credit limit increase with MBB was rejected based on my DSR and nothing else. Guess I will just have to use the BT with PBB. This post has been edited by timo1003: Aug 27 2018, 11:31 AM |

Maybank has got a lot of customer base. Even though ur income is high, your approved credit limit will rarely exceed 2x multiplier. MBB can't spread their risk too thin. Only thing good is they issue CC very fast & efficient compared to other banks within 7 working days.

Not sure how they decide credit limit. |
