interesting. numbers beginning with 51xx are mastercards. when swiped, will it go to unionpay or mastercard for clearing?

only if they don't screw up. my card was approved 2 weeks ago, it didn't arrive, and they couldn't tell me where is my card until today.

if it's credit, then it still sounds like 2 separate credit card accounts to me, although physically there is one piece of plastic.

if the sst is charged per physical card, then i prefer the bank offer the option of virtual cards for m2c. then i can still pay my bills and 0 sst for me.

the op was suggesting one possibility that can be adopted to avoid sst on the rarely used mc/visa that comes m2c.

i called (and not easy to get an agent). from 17 till today, only now they can see on their system that my card is ready for collection at branch, although i never asked for self collection at branch!

now i'm trying to get the card center to recall the card from branch and then send it to me.

you cannot see the account and transactions of the other card, but you can see all statements in the statement menu.

or you can try requesting the customer service to link both cards to a single m2u login. no guarantee they can or will help you though.
