U are Not allowed to play astro go thru external display device ( including laptop hdmi to tv, chromecast/miracast, type c to hdmi for certain phone models)

yep, something wrong with the subs when using pc chrome.

i remember it was ok in previous versions... still mucking around with it, i suppose.

this problem does not happen with android box.

Just purely for AstroGo, should I buy Tx3 mini (rm10x)or A95X (rm30x). I'm using it in sg via expressvpn so wondering whether I should top up for A95x for the smoothness.

My Sony tv can play astro on the go but it lags sometimes, not sure why. Wanna give Tx3/A95x a try.

tx3 mini/max will work with astrogo locally, but r u sure it will work in sg with VPN? somebody confirmed for u already?

yr sony can't do live HD channels smoothly - applies to most ATV devices.

No one confirm for me yet, but I just installed astro on the go on a sony led tv kd-49x7500f.
Works with vpn in SG, however HD channels will lag. Non hd streams fine.

My only worry is that tx3 mini will lag/stutter..hence considering A95x.

i can't comment on sg-vpn as i dunno... but i did read some comments in other thread... some say can, some say cannot.
will be up to u to find out.

just about astrogo app, tx3min/max works well - u can read up in that thread... plenty of users.
as for other boxes, there is no list to check... there was an old list but may not apply anymore with new app version.
whether box x or box y will work or not, i wud advice u not to buy until some user confirm with u and u get exactly the same model.
diff models of same brand may behave diff due to diff chipset, root setting, firmware, android version, etc.
as for "A95X", i have no idea; hopefully some user can tell u.

Thanks for the swift reply yet again. From my short experience, yes it does work well with expressvpn. My phone and iPad can stream aotg with no issue.

I think I will stick to tx3min then since theres no lag complain. My only concern was that hence thinking of upgrading to A95x max.

The recommendation came from Linglang.my. he recommended either 1 so I'm looking at the cheaper option unless it's theres lag coming from the tx3min.

Edit: just purchased Tx3mini. Will feed again in 2 weeks time. Thanks much.

This seller is well known.

But since he is in china, and the app is local, he may not know if the app will work on this or that box.

Unless he actually tries it with some vpn in china!

About your purchase, i hope u have read the tx3 thread last few pages at least....

To be sure the model variation u get is what u want.

You disabled the auto-detect and set manually to 1080p 60hz compared to 2160p 30hz ?

i think astro is in 50hz.

not entirely sure how it works but my exp says...

.. setting a box to default 2160p is not a good idea unless yr streams are mostly 4k; smoother at 1080p, be close to original.
.. locally, 50hz in use, i believe; some countries use 30 or 60hz - if your box has auto frame switching, it may detect such streams in some apps.
