did u flash back yr tx3mini to orig firmware? no good still?

Yea already flashed back. I'm also using the latest version of aotg, warner tv will pause every few minutes, while other channel the audio will mute every few minutes. Sigh

i m surprised... when i was on orig firmware, it was working fine.

but as new versions come out, i cannot be sure anymore.

maybe u should try to use the tx3max version i am using...

If u dun already know... astro go all channels open now till 13 oct.

flashed tx3 mini stock rom 7.1.2 into my x96 box ytd, latest Astrogo runs butter smooth!

Can use other brand box firmware?

Havent fully tested yet, just install AOTG only last night

Maybe can share how u flash it and would like to test on my mecool m8s max as well.

Flashing is always device specific. But for Amlogic devices, it's quite similar.

1. Identify where the reset button is.

2. Get ready the ROM. Either in the form of MMC/SDCard flash or USB cable flash.

3. For MMC/SDCard:
Insert card, press and hold reset button, insert power.

For USB cable flash:
Needs a Window PC and USB type C male to male cable. Run the flashing software on PC, select ROM, press and hold rest button, insert cable.

my android tv just arrived. Hisense B7200. install latest aotg. Not smooth at all. any tips? install previous version?

x96 is using Amlogic S905W chipset, flash by using usb burning tool (usb to usb cable) and toothpick reset

Older version 8.x.x no longer works.. even with modded version.. moving forward, astro will focus only on 2.xxx.x version.. u have 2 options only at the moment:

1) buy android box with aotg support
2) someone said they can watch using chrome browser in their mibox.. but subtitles not showing up even though there is option to enable subtitle

Which is why I SUSPECT the AstroGo HD live channel is probably played via web streaming, ie the AstroGo might be using a webview object to play the video, and if the webview object is lousy, so the playback quality will be lousy.

Non-live channel might not experience the same problem as it might be played via native libraries.

tx3mini, tx3max same s905w chipset, the firmware will work.

tx3mini firmware is popular to be used on other boxes.

and.. if u wish, i think u can use tx3max firmware too!

at this time, there is no known version that will work well on yr ATV tv.

i thought of that and tried.
i tried with 3 browsers on my ATV tv.
with puffin (ATV approved), install Ok, start Ok, but when u play, it returns error.
with chrome, brave (non ATV)... can't even install properly - message "app is not allowed..."
they took pains to block smart TVs...

my samsung smart tv default web browser able to login astro go and play on demand and catch up movie...but not live channel

So there is a difference in the streaming method used in on demand vs live channel.

Will try, if tx3 mini firmware dint work well
