you are totally wrong, if your tv is sony and you are using xperia phone with MHL output can get full screen with mhl  to hdmi cable i have try this before, other live tv  app also get full screen with sony tv and xperia phone with mhl output

Likely playstore detect safetynet and therefore boxes which are rooted automatically disqualified from downloading AstroGo.

Yes, the new AstroGo, unlike the beta, checks for root and safteynet. But in the code they also allow a few acceptions to that check. Nevertheless these checks are superficial, the core DRM does not bother about root and hence can be easily broken using reverse engineering.

Anyone wants to try the modded version can pm me for download link of the new modded apk. We need to keep it low profile so that Astro will not incorporate more nasty checks in the code in the future.

This mod is tested limitedly working without needing Magisk, root cloak, unrooting, etc.

In the play store Astro thinks this new interface is better, but to me, it is worse than before.

the beta version is not in google playstore - still old 8.2.6.

the beta version has gone thru several updates.
if u hv an older beta version, it will prompt u to update online, takes 30 secs or so.
my 3 boxes, all updates been fine so far.
no problem, no need modified version.
but the audio lag problem persists.

and agree... i dun like this new interface - the channels displayed for selection too small, sucks.

New updates are pathetic. The interface makes the apps load so slow. It's becoming more confusing to use the apps, even though you try to classify them. Why change something that's quite good to something that's worse? I see you try to imitate netflix and other streaming apps. But their apps are muc...

FINALLY waking up from their sleep and coming up with new updated app after all these years charging super high $$ and losing tons of customers . Hope can cast to my TV and rooted device can use . Will try later then update comment .

No, it is already there. I downloaded it from the play store. I think 8.2.6 is probably due to the upload was done without setting the version name correctly.

8th July 2019 was the last update.

1. Sekarang ada dua versi AOTG. 8.2.6 dan 2.195.2.

2. Versi 8.2.6 dan 2.195.2 kedua2nya boleh didapati daripada playstore untuk SUPPORTED DEVICE. Kalau tak ada dalam Playstore, boleh sideload guna 3rd party market app mcm Apkpure, atau download sendiri apk dan install guna file manager.

3. App AOTG bukan direka untuk android tv box, androidtv os (mibox, smarttv). Jadi mungkin akan ada masalah compatibility dgn device2 ini, dan paparan login yang bermasalah atau screen tiba2 terbalik dan sebagainya.

4. Versi 2.195.2 memang khas utk pengguna astro berbayar kerana dalam versi ini tidak ada option utk free registration ID utk menonton channel astro yg percuma seperti di njoi (Awani, Arena, Oasis, Prima, Taara HD). Anda juga akan menerima mesej yg account is suspended sekiranya ID anda link dengan decoder yg telah convert ke njoi atau anda gunakan smartcard id njoi dgn akaun aotg anda.

5. Sekiranya anda menggunakan ID percuma, gunakan versi 8.2.6. Sekiranya anda nak register ID percuma, jugak gunakan 8.2.6

6. Sekiranya sebelum ini anda tidak boleh menggunakan 8.2.6 kerana jailbreak detected, ataupun boleh bypass jailbreak detection tetapi cenel tidak dapat play dan asyik berpusing2, anda mungkin akan mengalami nasib yang sama utk 2.192.5

7. Version aotg sebelum ini seperti 8.2.4, 8.1.x tidak lagi terguna pakai kerana akan force update. Sekiranya anda menggunakan modded apk, perlu uninstall dulu modded aotg berkenaan kerana key utk apk yg modded tak sama dgn key yang original. Anda akan dapat prompt fail to update.

8. Untuk versi 2.192.5, hampir semua device yang menggunakan AndroidTV OS (Mibox, smarttv androidtv) akan mengalami masalah channel playback tak smooth untuk live TV, dan tiada masalah utk VOD. Jadi lebih baik anda terus menggunakan versi 8.2.6

9. Untuk device yang tak nampak login prompt, dan terus keluar sign in using FB, itu adalah disebabkan compatibility dan device anda tak compatible dgn AOTG 2.192.5. Rujuk poin no 3. Dinasihatkan gunakan saja version 8.2.6.

10. Setakat artikel ini ditulis 12/7, AOTG 8.2.6 masih boleh digunakan, dan tidak ada prompt disuruh upgrade ke version 2.192.5. Juga tiada lagi iklan mengenai 2.192.5 dalam aotg 8.2.6.

11. App AOTG memerlukan google playstore dan google play services kerana astro sekarang telah menggunakan khidmat google pay dan google wallet untuk pembelian dalam app. Box putih yang tiada playstore dan google play service kemungkinan akan mengalami masalah utk run aotg

12. Mana2 device yg guna androidtv OS, dinasihatkan install siap2 Chrome browser dan Leankey keyboard utk SmartTV with AndroidtV sekiranya ada problem bila launch AOTG tiba2 prompt app stopped working, atau no app to complete the task

13. Disebabkan app astrogo dicipta utk smartphone/tablet, dia telah diprogram utk berinteraksi dengan touchscreen gesture. Untuk device yang tak ada touchsreen, anda perlukan mouse/airmouse utk mimicking swipe, drag, scroll gesture.

If you are using androidtv os, better stick with old version 8.2.6.. this new version sucks at live tv.. almost all channels especially hd is very choppy and laggy.. some i heard tested on mibox and smarttv with android tv.. i use gt mini-a and now happily revert back to old version.. new aotg no longer have options to sign up.. therefore my guess is possible that 8.2.6 won't be phased out so soon.. as new registration and sign up can only can be done on old version.. somemore only 8.2.6 accept the free aotg account login.. well, u never know what those people at astro clear intention.. if they force to upgrade this new version, then lot of aotg free subscribers will be left out.. yeah u can login using njoi now as well, but i dont know if they still will concentrate on njoi now..

ATV... use 8.2.6 for as long as u can...

Astro go now has IQIYI on channel 300, in HD, nice.
In new app, can find 300, 305, 321, etc.
A matter of whether yr id is eligible or not to play them.

Old apk v8.2.6... not sure, but seems many channels dun show up there.

It's quite a painful experience to select those channels and make them favorites, by using the TV remotes.

Wonder if it is device specific or account specific. If it is account specific, then doing it on the phone first, customize things properly first before selecting them from TV remotes.
