Hi

What is the difference between Panasonic GX800K and GX800B? Is it only region model? is IPS panel better than VA panel or vice versa?

Review for the IPS version but you’d have to translate.

I’m not too sure but Malaysia seems to sell the GX800 with IPS panel. US etc sells the one with VA panel.

"UK" you meant , Panasonic doesn't sell their TV in US.

It is a cosmetic variant , the " K " series are roughly similar to the GX900 (which is also a cosmetic variant of the GX800 series )they are selling in German with an IPS panels .

VA or IPS , it shouldn't affect the general performance of the TV .

By now everyone should be familiar with the pros and cons of both types of screens .

I'm in the mist of getting one too
It's either 55 or 65

I'm using the samsung 55 ins led backlit series 6.. bought from Senheng 10 years ago.

On the 4th year 11mths, the panel spoilt.... ( panel replaced under 5 year extended warranty)..
Now its 9th year 11mths ...the panel giving problem again... cantt be replaced.. panel obsolete

I was considering the
Samsung ru7300 series
Pana 600 & 740 series
Sony x8000 series

Above are all 2019 models
Now I officially dropped the samsung (panel fobia already )

Sony x8000 have decent true to live colors... with deeper blacks & colors too.. benefit from a smoother motion flow
Pana too have true to life colors ... have deep blacks n spectrum of more color combination....

After tested all the models.. I dropped the sony too....trilluminious technology.. is for movies .. it wint benefit from watching astro n the likes... unless you always watch blurays or Netflix... other wise .. hmmm... good feature but not fully utilized... money down the drain...
Oh its android 6 version

My last .. pick is the panasonic 600 /650 android series n the 740 series... 750 android version miht be launching soon

Pana preloaded with android 9.. ( considered the latest)

Series 600 & 650 if properly calibrated will not loose out to the 740 series side by side comparison ....
600 series with deeper color... test it out play around with the settings .. don't leave it at dynamic mode
740 series are brighter, darker n a bit smoother

I think my final purchase will be the 740 series.. as it has the latest features..
1) HTCX processing ( faster processor)
The one I looking for are the 2 below
2) dolby atmos
3) dolby vision

Well having said .. if you on normal programs.. the HCX n dolby atmos, already a good run for the purchase)
Leave the dolby vision to netflix n blurry or 4 k movies

Oh the 600/650 is ips & the 740 VA

I'm just comparing picture quality.. features & specs.. pls goggle

thank you.. as I m just sharing based on my own views

Good Day Everyone.

I need some advise on whether is it worth to go for Sony 65" X8000G (RM3899) over Sony 65" X7000G (RM3300). (Sarawak Price + 5 year warranty)

My story,
I have spoiled 60" Sharp FHD that is around 5 years and the shop said it is worth to repair if the cost of repair around RM500. It more than might as well buy new one. I have it connected to android box to watch drama and movie most of the time. Not for gaming and not for sport.

Thanks in advance.

easy, you see from side of TV, VA panel colour will fade, IPS wont
triluminos is color layer, nothing to do with panel

btw, you are at which town?
