At 6k budget what should I get? 70inch or higher planning to grab 70al1x how does it compare tu nu8000. Budget can stretch abit more to 7k. But if possible I want it to be below 6k without any major trade off

Plenty but dont expect great image output n graphic engine especially on upscaler....

I use vod mainly. Netlifx amazon crunchyroll. No astro or TV. Can I got wrong with sharp al1x? So cheap as of now 70"@5.4k. Did consider no brand name like TCL 75"@7k but don't really have much review from Malaysia counterpart and track record.

The larger the screen the better graphic processing you need in handling motion, colour, contrast n upscale engine.

Go check out LG M8100 Nanocell UHD. Harvey going mid year sales and in few days ...65" @ Rm7997 after discount.

The best UHD I ever see to handle 720p content....

Sony X85F n 80G at 6k n 5k can't beat it at all...Panasonic GX700 n 800 behind Sony...Others.all oiut

X80G vs X85F
Which one better?

X80G newer but X85F color seems nicer..
*
you are correct. X85F have darker panel hence contrast is higher and colour nicer...vs G is brighter...

looking to buy a 65" TV, thinking Panasonic.

Should I get a OLED or UHD?

read everywhere say OLED is the future, but is it relevance to Malaysia?
*
if you are very demand for colour, sharpness - OLED is the choice.

Yeah OLED is good. was wondering does it worth the price?
The panasonic 65" OLED is more than RM 10k  sad.gif

this is very subjective to individual. The 'good enough' term vary from individual...of course depreciation will happen..like your phone

The best mid range 4K HDR TV in MY is still NU8000 .
This will not change until the newer Q75R is getting a price drop .

If you can't afford that , NU7400 / RU 7400 is probably the least you want to go . Anything below you are losing too many features.
If you dislike Samsung TVs ,  there are alternatives like LG 's UK6500 as well .
*
check out LG later M8100 if i am not mistaken.....thats the BEST 4K UHD to me tongue.gif

I went and had a look at the Nanocell and QLED quality and couldn't spot any difference as far as my eyes could see.

Anyone can chip in and help? In between the LG SM8600 vs Samsung Q60R.

I am having it in a brightly lit room and the widest angle would most probably be about 4-5 sofa seats wide.

I don't seem to be able to find a comparable Sony version but if anyone have any ideas, could just leave a comment.

black level. OLED contrast and black level is unbeatable (for now)

I m thinking to get a 60" or 65" tv with budget of RM4000.

Any model can recommend?

I am considering Hisense B7700. Does it good?

Thank you so much

Any big screen (above 55") , what is your expectation with a RM4K budget ? what resolution source u viewing the most (e.g Astro, bluray, streaming 1080p content etc ?)

Hi

What is the difference between Panasonic GX800K and GX800B? Is it only region model? is IPS panel better than VA panel or vice versa?

hi sifus,

i am in the look for a new 65" TV and as usual, i need recommendation. My budget need not to exceed 4.5k, but if the offer is too good, can stretch a bit laa. I have a few TVs in mind after some recce session which i get for max 4.5k. Maybe some user can tell their experience or some sifu can tell pros n cons of each TV, as i have read thru reviews and still cant make up my mind. I am still open to other offers.

So here what i have in mind.

1. Samsung RU7400 - with 5 years extended warranty
- not sure pros and cons, the shop just suggested me this. I know this is VA Panel. Not a fan, but most prefer this over IPS because of better contrast.

2. Sony X8000G - with 5 years extended warranty
- not sure pros and cons, but it is cheaper than above by 100+. not sure VA or IPS but i think this is android TV. Not sure weather i need the ATV function or not.

3. LG UM7600 - with 5 years extended warranty
- Tops my list just because of the IPS Panel. Not sure the "grayish" black will annoy me or not.

4. Panasonic GX740 - 2 years warranty only (5k++ if want to extend warranty)
- Interested with the Dolby Vision offered + IPS. As many here suggested the GX800, im not sure what the diff with this model. Cant find the differences. I wish someone knew where to get this with 5 yrs warranty under my budget.

5. Sony X8500F - Display unit with 5 years warranty (4y++ warranty left)
- Well its the cheapest from all and it looks like 1 step higher model compare to the rest just because its 2018 model. My worries its a display unit but the warranty give a bit of ease, its 5 yrs Sony warranty.
My TV usage will mostly be only on Netflix, and occasional Astro and PS4 Pro. I spend most of my days working and browsing on PC/laptop only but since im getting a new TV, why not having the best within my budget. I really not sure the use of ATV so im dunno weather to pick SMART or Android TV. Most i heard is Android TV will lag, unsure how true is that.

that's all so far, i hope sifus can help.
Thanks  notworthy.gif

Personally i found Sony X8000G have darker panel than the newer Sony X8500F and IQ is nicer , if Panasonic = prefer go for 800 series and above...LG, consider their 8000 series too.
