what vista does is cut out a part of unused space from our selected drive, format it and voila a new partition, the process is incredibly simple and short and no harm to ur old partition either smile.gif

tried by me

I have vista home premium on my 6400 wit 1 gb ram,at idle it seems to take up 600+mb ram already. So i'm wondering if are there any side effects if i were to increase my virtual memory settings?(i heard that it'll give u more memory?) Anyone tried tinkering wit those settings before?

Btw,does anyone know what harddisk does dell provide for 6400? eg.Seagate,WD,Toshiba etc..
